Biden's SOTU

He should have let with the economy, fentanyl crisis and the fact people are struggling. Instead it was about funding his war lobbyist buddies.

So I understand why maybe we should be involved, but right now there is other issues we should be dealing with.

War against Russia isn't the only war we're going to be engaged in...Biden admitted boots on the ground in Gaza, and who knows where else. We don't need to be in more wars, we need to fix the border, help with the health and education systems here in our country and people need to be brought to the table with talks of peace.

We're close to nuclear war more than any other time in history, Biden is reckless and he needs to be ousted.

Clearly you didn't actually watch it.

Republicans don't have better answers for any of the above issues. Republicans don't have a platform and are laser focused on planting big wet kisses on Trump's crusty rear. Oh, and paying for his legal bills.

Cannot believe Biden referred to immigrants as illegals. He lost my vote.

If that is the straw that breaks the camel's back, then so be it.

I am sure Donald will be sooooo much more respectful.

He certainly rose above whatever low bar the GOP made for him.

I agree.
There was a moment early on when he said "if you send me to congress"--a slip, but a slip because of his long political career. I was worried because his voice has been so soft when I have heard him before, but he pulled it off.

speaking of pronunciation--whoever on CNN is with Jake Tapper just pronounced "rhetoric" as "rheTORic."

Lol…You’re watching CNN…wow I feel sorry for you. Guess you’re unable to think for yourself.

I had it on to listen to his speech. Don't make a big deal out of it. I don't get my opinions from CNN, I form my own.

He was illegal - there was an active bench warrant out for his arrest at the time of the murder.

If the GOP would pass the bipartisan border bill, the border would be closed right now and guys like this wouldn't be allowed to claim asylum and stay.

+1

I have a hard time believing people would be seriously upset about this.

This isn't the own you think it is

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_strategy

Today's GOP is the Dem Party of the 13th Amendment.

Lol…did you actually use Wikipedia to make some point? Bless your sweet heart.

Do you know what the Southern Strategy is, and what it meant for the rotation between the political parties?

The southern strategy was 70-80 years ago.

No, more like 60 and continuing. 1964 was when Strom Thurmond switched parties and Goldwater won 5 southern states. It was also the year Johnson got the Civil Rights Act passed. The act was signed in July, Thurmond switched parties in September. This shift had already started--Truman was vocal on civil rights, Kennedy promised to secure equal rights for African Americans (even if he didn't take strong action, he did bail MLK Jr out of jail during the campaign, upon which MLK Sr switched to supporting Kennedy, bringing black voters with him). Segregationists became Republicans. Formal segregation became (another) Lost Cause but the Republican Party in the South is the direct descendant of the old southern Democrats.

Katie Britt's voice today is actually taught to Christian women... The religious right trains women to speak breathlessly because in their mind it shows that they are the subservient, lesser gender.

Any female that is still voting red is insane, brain dead and literally dumb.

They put her in a KITCHEN!!!! WTF?

Republicans = Free Markets

It amazes me this debate is even happening.

That has never been true. More like

Democrats = Market economy regulated to ensure accountability and transparency so that market competition is based on quality, efficiency, and value

Republicans = Crony capitalism, enabling fraud, plundering of resources, exploitation of workers, bribing government officials and judges
