Nobody wants to ban guns. That's just a right-wing talking point to rile up their base.

I live in a densely populated suburb where neighbors watch out for each other and the police are only minutes away. I don't feel the need to own a gun.

If I lived in a rural area where there was a mile between me and my nearest neighbor I would absolutely own a gun. But under no circumstances would I need a high-capacity magazine. That's the sort of thing we want banned.

There's plenty of circumstances where you might want one in a rural environment. Unfortunately you can find videos of hunters being attacked by packs of feral pigs without enough bullets to put the pigs down. Doesn't end well for the hunters.

I guess you have to weigh the number of hunters killed each year because they ran out of bullets against the number of people killed each year because their murderer did not run out of bullets.
