She would be miserable.

Why?

Seriously? Because she’s not a 9-5 corporate person? She doesn’t live the traditional successful corporate lifestyle. She’s a performer on a huge scale. Her schedule and lifestyle is completely and totally different from most people. Whether it works with Travis or not is still to be seen. But it makes sense. They’re both big, bold, outgoing, extremely scheduled people with huge egos. They aren’t in the same profession competitively yet totally understand the time requirements.

At least she would be able to have a conversation with a CEO or high powered lawyer or whatever. The relationship with Travis is not sustainable, which is obvious to anyone who has listened to him talk on his podcast. He adds the f word to every sentence and talks in fragments. He is very very far from articulate, how can he be a good match for the world's biggest songwriter?

Because Joe had depression and dating him was a chore. Dating Travis is fun and he loves family. He's a dream compared to Joe. She loved joe but could not fix him, nor could he fix him.

He is dyslexic. That is very common for dyslexic people and if you don't understand that then I question your intelligence.

A CEO? So someone that has no time for her whose schedule would control over hers? Whose obligations are 24/7 to the company? Off season travis has time -- a CEO's spouse has to be at the CEO's disposal at all times or they will never even see each other. Also Taylor would not be free to say what she wanted -since it could spill back to CEO and company.

On the f word if you know her she is worse. Anyone who has a podcast like that is articulate -- there is no argument the other way. Looks like they have great conversations --- he is a pretty good match for her. He is hot, bright, treats her great. Past boyfriends mostly have mental issues.

Because in real life you fall in love with a person, not a job title.

You do realize that she would still be the breadwinner by a lot even if she partnered with a CEO?

Are you serious? A conversation with a CEO or high powered lawyer? Oh yes, I’m sure she would love to engage in some lengthy conversations about the latest court cases and financial acquisitions. Obviously you don’t know very much about sports culture. Have you ever listened to sports talk radio? Same locker room type stuff minus the language. His main audience for his podcast is probably 18 - 40 year old men and the conversation and language used is deliberate to appeal to and get a reaction from that type of audience. And as far as the language goes, I’ve heard the f word out of her mouth enough times too. I’m sure she’s not shocked by it.

So the women here think Taylor Swift, the most famous woman on the planet, should date a random CEO??? Instead of a famous and successful football player who also a celebrity??

Do you have brain damage?? What would Taylor possibly have in common with a boring, over scheduled CEO who probably doesn’t even have time to read a book, let alone intellectualize or have creative hobbies.

I think some of the more strivery types see "CEO husband" as the endgame they believe all women want this.

All this talk about her dating a CEO has that line from Now that We Don’t Talk in my head about not wanting to be on a mega yacht with important men who have important thoughts.

DCUM women expose themselves and their pathetic small lives and strivery selves. They think working 80 hour + weeks and living mundane boring life as an office drone looking at spreadsheets all day is an accomplishment worthy of marrying a world famous singer songwriter who has arguably changed the music industry.

Someone with Taylor’s intelligence and accomplishments would not be able to spend a day listening to a dull office drone with a dad bod and the highlight of whose life is a 2 week vacay to Amalfi Coast.

As has been pointed out by Taylor fans, all of us can have differing opinions. I don't think she'd be happy with Travis longterm, but lumping all CEOs into a generic group isn't accurate either.

NP, and I've met enough CEOs to feel comfortable grouping them.

Also, can we stop declaring we know about Joe Alwyn's mental health. As far as I know he hasn't said anything about having depression.

DP but I am sure he doesn’t talk to her like that in real life. He is well-spoken enough in interviews and he is savvy with media. When he’s not on a podcast with “bros” he doesn’t talk like that. The podcast Travis is a persona.

It seems to be a great match because he is hot, fun, loves family, and is her #1 fan. Like someone said, what else could a woman want? She can get intellectual stimulation elsewhere. Clearly her tortured poet boyfriends haven’t worked out for her for a reason.
