Keto believers only please

I'm in ketosis after 5 days! And I feel Great! All I have done is not eat grains or beans and I haven't had a drop of booze. I really have no negative side effects.

The weekend without beer is going to be tough.

That isn't keto. Keto is much more complex than that.

The macronutrient ratio required to get into ketosis for MOST people is 70% fat/20% protein/10% carbs. Fasting and drastic calorie reduction will also do it.

How can the feeling of hunger feel good? I don't get it. I *want* to understand how intermittent fasting and/or keto works, but that's the part that stops me.

What does this have to do with sports and fitness?

Honestly I don't feel hungry except for before meals. I am a person who gets psycho hungry after eating white carbs after like an hour and a half. I felt more hungry on regular Weight Watchers. Sugars and starches are not good for me at all.

Wrongly, so. They should be in the "beauty" forum since they have nothing to do with fitness (or 'health & medicine')

+1. I'm not even sure that's low carb without looking at your macros.

Really? An overweight person getting their weight in range seems to me to have a lot to do with health and fitness.

In healthy ways? Sure. In unhealthy, fad diet ways (ie, no beans)? No - it's unhealthy, unsustainable, and about vanity - so the beauty forum.

It's not an unhealthy, fad diet. Sorry PP. I know you're having a hard time with this. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Sigh. I was hoping that someone would be happy for me. What I'm doing is basically South Beach Phase 1 but it has put me into ketosis. I was curious so i bought some keto stix

And I feel Great! I'm not hungry and I had a great workout this AM. I will move on to SB phase 2 in a couple of weeks. But thanks for crapping on my efforts as usual.
