OP I'd suggest you visit the forums on MyFitnessPal.com. There is a lot of discussion of keto and all other approaches to losing weight/fat.
One one (and this might have to something to do with the reaction to your post here): a lot of people kind of object to the idea of "belief" in diet, since there are so many crazy fad diets that people believe in. |

Good for you, OP. Remember that the first few pounds you lose (depending on your current weight) will just be water weight. Also, agree with above PP that we don't really know if we haven't seen your macros or stats, but I believe you. Don't put too much weight into those ketostix. Just make sure your net carbs are less than 20grams and you'll get and stay there. I think once you become keto-adapted, you can more easily get into ketosis and stay there will more net carbs (but still extremely low). I agree with you re: energy levels while in keto. Another thing you need to make sure you're getting when you're doing keto is your electrolytes - sodium, potassium, and magnesium. Otherwise you could experience the dreaded keto flu, which may include brain fog, sluggishness, etc. |
Let me be the first to congratulate you on being in the top .05% of people who do Atkins/Keto, and don't gain the weight back (plus some extra), thinking that chicken and cheese is better for you than beans and sweet potatoes. Kudos! |
Well then, I'm glad you're getting the results you were looking for. |
