is this us in the future

Doctors' strike : State hospital doctors in northern Greece are planning a 48-hour strike for the end of September and sit-ins from October in protest at staff shortages.

seems to me that is what Obama is trying to do to our healthcare problems, turn them into social medicine, which in turn gives us some many other problems.

Big no to socialized medicine. I support doctors and their right to make a lot of money and this is not going to happen if the government takes over. No to brain drain because these same smart people will go into other professions and it will affect everyone!!

Wow, you'd think that that monster socialized medicine was raging outside the door demanding to take over, which it is....NOT!

Then why aren't the rest of the socialized medicine countries on strike like Greece? France and Germany seem to be working just fine.

Oh, God--do you approach everything in your life this simplistically? Do you even know anything about Greece? FYI--it's not the John Travolta movie.

Oh really? France's healthcare workers are never on strike? Come again...

If you really knew much about France's current state of healthcare, then you would know they are in the middle of a crisis, with healthcare driving a surging deficit, as it is the most expensive in the world. Furthermore, 92% of the people in France carry private insurance as well to make up for the deficiencies in the gov plan.

Seriously? Do you know anyone that is a doctor?! Do you have any idea how much malpractice insurance is? Combine that with med school loans and an average doctor is barely making it in this area. I love how people assume that everyone who is a doctor or lawyer is raking it in. No one ever counts that $300K in law school or med school loans. No wonder we need to outsource much of our medical work to Asia.

WTH? Do we have amnesia again? We have nurses strikes in the U.S. Just google it.

actually I know a lot about Greece. Lived there many years, Seen the problems. Social medicine sucks, as does all WELFARE to me. Get off your damn ass, cut your nuts, or tubes, quit having babies and support your family, self. I do not want to pay one dame dime to anyone. I am for supporting the infra structure of our country. I am not for supporting every leach in the country, legal or not. I don't care if you don't have health insurance, it isn't my problem, it is becoming my problem with Obama and his wicked ways. Go into the the military if you want free health insurance, do something for your country instead of just waiting for a hand out.
