Biden’s economy

Oh goodie, prices increased 3.3% instead of 3.4%... congrats Joe. You're halfway to where inflation was when 46 came into office three and one half years ago.

You are forgetting about the whole COVID thing.

As an example.

What has happened in the US economy is quite remarkable.

For Dems it’s always about the messaging. It’s the messaging’s fault that groceries are so expensive and unemployment is up. Yeah right!

Unemployment ticked up .01%. It is generally down at historic, sustained lows.

Native born Americans lost 300,000 jobs last year. Keep telling yourself the economy is rocking.

Did they lose those jobs or did they retire?

No this isn’t explained away by retirements.

NY Post “Labor Department data released Friday also showed that the unemployment rate for foreign-born workers was 3.4% versus 3.8% for native-born workers. The foreign-born labor participation rate was also more favorable at 66.2% versus 61.6% for native-born workers.”

How could retirements not explain that?

Because we didn’t have 300k retirements. Read the report.

Surprising U.S. economy is powering better global outlook
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2024/06/11/world-bank-us-economy/

The global economy is in better shape than it was at the start of the year, thanks largely to the performance of the United States, the World Bank said in its latest forecast Tuesday. But the sunnier outlook could cloud over if major central banks — including the Federal Reserve — keep interest rates at elevated levels.

Why is it you think food prices are high? And what will Trump being doing to lower them? How will future administrations stave off the effect of climate change on increasing food prices?

We have the best economy in the world and Trump is promising to increase prices through tariffs. All of this complaining about how prices are higher than they were prepandemic is just pointless.

Let's not forget how the housing market performed under Biden

Let's take an example. Do you actually know why egg prices are going up?

Yes, the Fed raised rates to combat inflation, which was worldwide after a pandemic, and for which the US has done relatively well vs. other countries.

I can't with the constant posts of random data w/o context. It only convinces me to stay voting on the left because GOP-leaning posters cannot incorporate context and end up sounding dumb. There was an earlier post where the person literally snipped out a portion of a chart to omit the full trend line in their desperation to invent a point.

It basically sums up the repeated posters on this forum.

Stupidity.

They'll feign ignorance or ignore.

The repeated random twitter link poster - or posters - are ridiculous.
