If you workout in the mornings. . .

How early do you wake up?

And what time do you go to bed?

Any tips to get up/be prepared?

I'm trying to start the 6AM wake-up routine and morning workouts before work, but having trouble getting up.

4:15 alarm clock. 5 am class. Home by 6:15. In bed by 9

Alarm goes off at 5:50. I work out in our home gym, so no driving time is involved. I'm in bed by 11 (I should probably go to bed earlier, but can't bring myself to do so - FOMO).

6:40am, out the door at 7am and eat half a banana on the way, class from 7:30-8:30, shower, dress and get to work by 9am. Then I eat breakfast.

Bedtime any time between 10pm and 12:30.

My tip is: lay out your clothes.

I wake up at 4:45 and my class is at 6.
I usually go to bed around 9

My tip is: if you are not really a morning person, don't do mornings. If you are better at night, exercise then. And find something you like to do, or at least do it with someone you like, or with your kids/spouse, at least part of the time. Get a crock pot.

I'm an early person so I exercise by 4am to 5, then clean kitchen/laundry/housework,while tv is on, make dinner/crock pot or marinate ribs/chicken), shower/get dressed/at work 7:15-7:30). But I am home by 4 at the latest.Usually dinner is ready or at least prepped, and I always make enough for at least 2 meals, like pot roast . We usually eat by 4:30, I put the stuff in the sink & let it soak overnight.Spend time with DH. Then I take a nap from 6-730pm, but I get up again & watch tv until about 10 or 11 (depending what's on)

Everyone knows, don't call/visit/expect me to do anything between 6-7:30. DH is good with my hours and will come to bed at 6 with me. I know it's really crazy but it works for us (no kids at home anymore)

BUT,I found I could not belong to a gym. I showed up EVERYDAY at 3:45 waiting for the doors to open at 4, so workers had to be on time, and they were annoyed. And then I got annoyed because men would ask me what I did for a living .Sorry, I'm a teacher, not a stripper

Bed at 9pm. Wake at 5am. Have workout clothes lying in wait in the bathroom.

I get up at 5:00 to hit the gym by 5:45. I try to go to bed by 10:00. That doesn't always work, so I'm almost always tired.

Still better to get the workout out of the way, though, or it gets derailed when things get busy.

I'm not 100% a morning person, but I do tend to be more productive in the mornings than at other times. On weekends, I like to get up early, work out, do errands, and then take an afternoon nap when my energy tends to be lower.

Wake up at 5:15 for a 6 am session.

I am at home around 6:15 and in bed at 9:00.

Go to bed NLT 11.
Alarm at 5.
Out the door at 530.
Class from 6 to 7.
It was no fun at first but now it's habit.

wear your workout clothes to bed at first. You will find yourself more motivated if you don't have to get dressed on top of everything else

I try to get up early two mornings a week. Then, with weekend exercise, that's enough. I can sleep a little later the other days.

I wake up at 5:30. Walk around a little to loosen up my middle-aged knees. Get dressed in clothes that I have already set out. Out the door to run before 6. Back by 6:45, then jump into getting ready. My high schooler is up and almost ready to leave; my younger kids get up around 7:15. I keep my look pretty low-maintenance.

I try to go to bed by 10:30 if I'm getting up at 5:30. It often doesn't happen, though.

Alarm at 5:05. Class 5:30-6:30. Home by 6:40, out the door for drop-off and work NLT 7:30. Most nights I am asleep by 10.

I set out workout clothes, work clothes, and my water bottle at night. Briefcase and diaper bag also packed night before. DD and I both take breakfast with us in the car. It's hectic but it's the only way I can fit in workouts - I don't have the energy to exercise at night.

This. A million times over. It's relatively easy for me to get up at 5am for 6am solidcore/long run/swimming (and I'm in bed by 9:30, with clothes laid out), but I've always been a morning person. Years of competitive rowing cemented the early morning workout habit, but I had teammates who just couldn't do it.

I go to a 5:30 am outdoor bootcamp four days a week, so alarm goes off at 5am. I brush my teeth and put my hair in a ponytail. Then I quietly sneak into the closet and pull my full set of workout clothes from one of those hanging sweater organizers (called a 'four pocket hanging wall organizer' on Amazon.)

I've already filled my water bottle the night before, and I just put on my shoes, grab my mat and weights and go. I usually bundle up with coats and hoodies, but shed those after the warm-up.

On Saturdays (or Sunday) I pack all four of my 'bundles' - bra, socks, undies, leggings, top, towel - and put them in the organizer. That way there's no thinking to do at 5am. Just grab and go.
