So why did the shooter go on and shoot 10 other people besides Ella if she was the target? Surely they ran the range of religious affiliation and political ideologies.

Most people from Uzbekistan (the native country of other Virginia student who was killed) are Muslim. So basically the shooter shot a Muslim and a Christian and lots of other random students.

Well, at least gun ownership could come with licensing, insurance, inspection, registration, taxes, and all the similar requirements. Since they're similar and all, according to you.

Having a gun is for an infrequent emergency just like your regular insurance. If you can't see the parallel I don't know what to tell you.

They shot before entering room, it’s the most accessible room on first floor. It could be an easier getaway than more populated buildings near main green or populated places. I don’t presume to know, but could be reason this building was chosen due to factors of getting away.

How many homes are entered illegally when the occupants are there?

Almost none.

Thieves case houses and enter when the occupants are away, and even that happens infrequently.

What would the insurance cover? If the owner pulls the trigger, it's an intentional act, not covered. If someone steals it and causes damage, they are not insured, not covered.
Just like car insurance, an intentional act is not covered, neither is damage caused by a stolen car.

Out of those 11,500 students only about 92 identify as very conservative - 0.8%

VP of Brown Republicans Ella Cook was 1 of those 92 students.

The student was charged with possession of a firearm on school property, which is a third-degree felony in Florida.

Agreed. If I was going to hop on a conspiracy which I won’t, my first would be the Ivy hatred. Also parent of a moderate on campus that is disenchanted with both sides.

Seems random choice based on ability to flee, which they were able to do.
