lol, GFR was part of NVA and LEFT.

…And hasn’t been able to land a partner since.

True, NVA's only "partner" has been Loudoun for a couple years now.

Now won’t it be a trip if GFR’s alliance/pathway is also with NVA

Given that NVA is completely intertwined with LS, any “pathway” other than playing on the top team at LS up to and through U12 seems like a scam. Unless someone is bringing whole teams over to RBFC to play somewhere higher than NCSL, which seems unlikely.

So R(b)FC and Loudoun will both funnel up to NVA? This doesn't really seem like a pathway. Just another club in a small space. How does this help anyone if the NVA teams can only have so many players on their roster?

As PP said, pure marketing gimmick.

No R(b)FC player, assuming they ever have any, will make any NVA team that they could not make anyways just through ID sessions and joining practices.

Absolutely spot on ^

how do you have a pathway when you don't have any teams? lol make it make sense

Only reason GFR pulled out of NVA was because they were headed to FVU…and then the rug-pull happened. Now, no one wants them.

Not sure that’s working out very well for FVU …

There really isn't a pathway. LS feds the entry age group. Then as the kids age they replace kids. Usually it’s from known kids from other clubs. About 90% of the time those replacement players are not much better. Go watch IDs. They pool the club kids and dont watch them much. The external known kids will be on the watch field. How kids make these teams are word of mouth between coaches. Once in a blue moon an unknown kid will get noticed but its because that kid is elite.

Who knows? But if you’re interested in Super-Y another club in the area is holding tryouts this weekend at Nike (weather permitting). Details and coaching slate at link:

is it a new club or a creative performance art project? we've yet to see any actual players take the field, or even learn what field they would be taking.

Guess that’s a good reason to call them a new club….lol

This is verifiably false.

Nva has basically killed their whole program with this partnership. Hope it was worth it
