Will school weapon detections cause class time delay?

Not screening hundreds of kids for weapons before the SATs, or during any community use time frame, or after school activities, not running metal detectors for events like football games...... its completely for show.

FCPS board docs says they are going to change all the school start times when they rezone.

They did the pilot, it was a disaster and so they...changed absolutely nothing about the plan. Someone make that make sense! What's the point of a pilot if you don't learn anything.

The biggest schools haven't started yet

Agree. It's all performative BS, all under the guise of "doing something".

Are you all calling and emailing the school board to complain?

I am holding emailing the SB. I'll give one more week to see how it goes.

They still haven't clarified how it will work in schools with trailers.

Not necessarily. One of my Marshall kids has first period in the trailers. There is someone watching that the kids first go thru the metal detectors into the building, and then exit and head to the trailers. IF the kids do not come from the school building, they are sent through the metal detectors and then go back to the trailers.
