For 09s 1. VDA (Full roster and tough to break into, longer drive depending where you are moving to). 2. Arlington (On the up, Full roster, injured players returned, currently playing as a team) 3. Union (Same as above but have at least 20 on roster, politics at Union is on par with the worst). 4. NVA (In decline, controversial new/old coach, full roster, politics are not as bad as Union and some others). 5. VRSC GA (Small gap in talent between top 4 and VRSC, likely GA Playoff team, Good Coach, Club is still unproven and political) 6. Everyone else Every age is different. |

Can you explain what you mean by politics when you mention Union and NVA? Are there no politics with VDA? Are you not concerned that VDA have got worse over the year? |

On this board, we DO NOT say bad things about VDA and VDA’s performance is either steadily improving or improving by leaps and bounds! |

There are none because the new ECNL Director doesn't play around. There is zero concern with VDA getting worse over the last year, they're the only ECNL club (as a whole across all their teams) that got better from last year to this year, which was largely due to them winning the FCV lottery. FCV was the top GA club in the area, it imploded and 95% of the players, not on the 06/07 team, left. A good chunk went to VRSC and a some/most of the top tier players went to VDA. |

1. VDA (despite losing 4-1 to Union, why not?) 2. Union (politics at Union is on par with the worst) 3. Arlington (suprise mid table finish, what happened NVA thought this would be you?) 4. SYC (large gap in talent between top 2 and everyone else, with ECNL migrations imminent the gap will shrink here first) 5. VRSC (Club is still unproven and political but still a better option than NVA at this age) |

On par with the worst? What does that even mean? Putting VDA 2010 over union 2010 is pretty funny. Please let us know what you are smoking? Good to know there are no politics at VDA. But explain again why both of the new director’s teams are getting worse as the season has went on. |

The concern should be the only way VDA can get better is by recruiting players. If I’m a young player at VDA (2011 or 2012) or vsa or pwsi, I would be concerned that the best players for every age group have barely played for VDA. |

This isn’t a concern. VDA teams have really strong players from PWSI/VSA and other clubs. The same can be said for all NOVA ECNL teams. I’m familiar with the teams as DD plays for one. Her team has added players from other clubs every year (like every ECNL team) but there’s still a large group of players originally selected at U13. I think the real concern is what did VDA do to you? |

| Before we move on to how overrated VDA is, can someone please explain the politics question. All these clubs have politics except VDA. Maybe they need some politics to have a winning record against Arlington or that train wreck Union. Thanks! |

I agree with you that this is not a concern as all the clubs need to improve their roster. I think the VDA concern should be have they ever had a player perform well in college? |

Both these teams are very strong and the integration between Union & Brave and VDA & FCV seems to have benefited both teams in this age group. But politics exists everywhere - VDA is not an exception. |
