Congressman carjacked at gunpoint in Washington DC

The writing was on the wall. Yet DC blew past all the flashing red lights and followed them all over the cliff. Other than maybe Pinto (barely), every elected ANC, Councilmember, and the mayor should be recalled.

It was obvious during summer 2020 this wouldn’t end well. We had a city government going along with, if not encouraging, the protests and an anti-police movement. Then a movement to rename schools when public school students weren’t even attending schools in-person in the fall. That’s when I knew it was time to leave. The city government could not have many it any clear that they do not care about education, personal property rights, or safety.

What I don’t understand is why people couldn’t see this coming and didn’t all flee.

I am still trying to wrap my head around a sitting Congressman being carjacked at gunpoint in DC and no arrest.

Well, Mayor Bowser is in UAE and Qatar this week at the climate change conference (read shopping spree) and to promote tourism to Washington DC.

Nothing says a commitment to solve the climate crisis like Bowser flying business class to the UAE and Qatar.

She needs to stick close to home to solve the crises close at hand.

Let her be. She’s out hustling trying to find a new job among the Davos set and good on her for setting high ambitions. We should be encouraging her because the faster she can get her golden parachute sorted, the faster the city can replace her with competent administration.

Most of the Davos set (have people to) do their due diligence.
