Sure, Karen. Keep using misogynist terms that are used for all women, not just for the narrow set of women you keep trying, unsuccessfully, to insist on.

Just know that we all see you for what you are.

"Karen" is not used to refer to any other women than white women. It is racist AF and those of you using it reveal yourselves to be racists, even if you're on the front lines of the current protests.

DP. It’s also misogynistic AF. The person who said she was disturbed by Trump in a wig is spot on—there’s no equivalent for men.

Also disturbing AF is how it’s used to lump people like OP, who only thought about complaining and maybe she would have done that appropriately, in with the racists and a few women caught on video. It’s used to shut up women, because they don’t want to be put in the same category as female racists.

Call a jerk a jerk.
Call a racist a racist.

Ok, then, you’re a jerk.

I’m glad I am a woman of color right now. No one dares to call us Karens for speaking out. Another stupid trend brought to us by social media.

OK, then, you’re a Karen. Which could mean anything from thinking about making an appropriate complaint to being a full-on racist and bigot.

We didn’t make the rules, DCUM did! According to DCUM’s fans of “Karen,” a woman isn’t allowed to insult anybody. That goes way beyond appropriate criticism, which isn’t allowed either.

Karens are also security guards.

So we just stand by and let people steal? What is wrong with you?

Correct. The very fact that you feel some obligation to “blow the whistle” makes you a Karen.

NP. Who are you to decide? What gives the right to define what people are or are not?

Don’t blame pp. Social media including DCUM defined a Karen. Just go read the first two pages of responses to OP, who merely thought about complaining but didn’t actually do it.

For years now, whenever I read a column/blog post/tweet scolding “cis-het” white males about something, 8 times out of 10, the author is white woman from an obviously affluent background. Somehow white women have gotten away with implicating white men while presenting themselves as victims. Yet anyone who works with the public knows that the Karen meme isn’t that far off.

It’s a generalization, but welcome to the club. Now that white women are under the microscope, they might be a bit more reflective and aware that they are implicated by their own judgment.

Yeah, you don't sound like you're laughing. You're throwing your own little hissy fit.

You're acting like an entitled jerk by insisting on using a word that many here have said offends them and then insulting people who disagree with you. Your examples actually undermine you by illustrating the point I and others are making. Namely, that the term Karen is really broad, lumping the potential complainers (like OP) in with the racists (several posts gave that definition), the women throwing hissy fits on camera, and men like Trump. Have you read the thread? Because various posters have given all these definitions. Your definition doesn't "rule."

If this makes you a Karen, in your own terms, so be it. How does it feel to be lumped in with the racists?

Hmmmm...so now it’s hissy fit as an insult. Yeah, you've been throwing out Karen as an insult nonstop, even though you claim to argue against it. I know I’m not racist, so trying to use Karen as an insult isn’t hurting me one bit. It does diminish your argument as you love to use it in an effort to silence other women while also being condescending and a hypocrite. You do seem particularly triggered by the word, so there’s that.

What were those videos about, if not “Karens” throwing hissy fits? And you definitely threw several hissy fits, publicly on DCUM even if you weren’t captured on video. In fact, going by the scorn poured on OP, merely thinking about criticizing somebody makes you a Karen, and you definitely actually criticized people here. So I’d say the shoe fits.

Don’t blame me for “Karen” including racists as well as people making legitimate (or not, in your case) complaints. I didn’t make the definition, others in this thread did. Check up-thread.

But enjoy being lumped in with the racists!

Well let’s see, here you are yet again, screaming bc someone isn’t agreeing with you. Here you are screaming bc you are being called out for your hypocrisy. No, I called out you, only you. And I have no problem saying that (even though you think I do).

You definitely tried to make a definition for Karen and you’re very clearly pissed not everyone agrees with your definition. You continually use Karen as an insult after trying so hard to fight against using it. You continually sock puppet and think you are clever. You have used more insults in your comments then anyone else. Carry on trolling though. It’s a pandemic, not much to do now anyway.

Nope. Read the thread from the beginning. Check out the multiple ways people are defining Karen. You don’t have a monopoly on definitions, and trying to impose one on the rest of us sounds like what you’re calling a Karen.

Also, nice rule you just made up, that you can post multiple times, but when anybody else does you call it “sock puppeting.” Sounds like what you’re calling a Karen. Also, there are multiple people arguing with you.

What’s really hilarious is that you’ve pushed back for 3 pages now on people calling you a Karen. You don’t like it, do you? You don’t think it applies to you, do you? Sounds just like what you’re calling a Karen.

Care to explain why your panties are in a twist over being called a Karen? We’ll wait.

Would I like to be called a Karen ? No.
Do I consider others before speaking? Generally yes.
If I was inconsiderate and/or exerting my privilege in a crappy way would I like to ge called out? Yes, even if it was difficult in the moment. To me, “Karen” is a short cut to shutting down that white nonsense. It stings, because it should.

You’re making Karen a race thing. That’s not how most people use it. Go back to the beginning of the thread where people are calling OP a Karen because, they say, she shouldn’t even criticize dangerous (COVID risk) services. That’s the problem.

Also, making it about women is misogynistic. Men are racists too, but we don’t have names for them (besides “Trump” and “Miller”).

Call a racist a racist.

It’s very clear there is no “we,” it’s just you. You aren’t clever. You are very clearly sock puppeting.

Never said I had a monopoly on definitions. The media’s definition, along with provided examples, are proof enough. You want to twist definitions to fit your narrative go right ahead.

Once again, not people, just you. And like I said previously, I don’t care if you try to use Karen as an insult to me; even though you claim no one should be using the term. You’re a hypocrite, that much is very clear. Karen doesn’t hurt me, even if you want it to. It does seem to hurt you, even though I never called you one.

Seems like your panties are so twisted you are seething with rage. Care to explain why you are constantly using the very term you claim to be fighting against? We’ll wait.

Umm...Karen is used to describe privileged, angry, white women talking down to people. Where have you been?
