The market is too diluted - Not enough quality 06s show up, so they would rather let the bubble players leave or sell them B team instead of trying to develop them Easier to take a couple play ups even it it means have a bad team in the lower age group |

You make a lot more sense than that other guy. Yes, some probably did say. Yes, some didn't and Spirit got some talent as well. Yes, it also coached up some players. Yes, let's let things play out instead of these wild cries of venom and anti-Spirit blah blah blah. He:she just sounds like posts her are proof for or against Spirit. They are just parents with opinions. No need to be so defensive. Spirit doesn't need itself be defended by anyone here, and they may actually be making it worse by causing the thread to blow up over every perceived slight. Thank you. Reasonableness is so rare these days. |

| The younger girls are going to be a challenge regardless of how recruiting goes. Next year will be more interesting to compare FCV 07 vs WS and Arlington. The 2 best 07 clubs in the area are Loudoun and McLean. How well will DA be able to recruit? This year Loudoun got ECNL months after DA tryouts. You can bet the ECNL teams will lock up the teams earlier. What happens to FCV if they cannot recruit Loudoun or McLean players? It may make things more even. Will be interesting to watch. |

How does FCV 07 look? Any ringers in there? They were able to pick up some good former Loudoun players last year, as well as another team of 05 and 06s, so why would they have trouble getting a few from Loudoun next year? |

There are some differences. The difference this year is the 07s will be the first year that Loudoun does ECNL tryouts at the same time as DA has ID sessions. Last year top girls that may have been on the fence got DA offers before ECNL could try them out. Now the top players will have multiple options to choose from between ECNL and DA. Also, the top Loudoun 07 team has defeated the top FCV 07 team three times in a row including 2 scores of 10-0. Will the Loudoun 07s think they would be moving down to switch to FCV? FCV 07 is regarded as not a deep team. Definitely not deep enough to field a competitive 11v11 squad. So recruiting will be important. |

I think some of it comes back to the whole DA vs ECNL debate. I think there will be some who will want to move to DA regardless of the 07 Loudoun team being stronger than the 07 FCV team. The same was true of the 06 teams, although the gap may not have been as wide. Longer term, those who see DA as superior to ECNL will want to move, those who don't will have no reason to move. I think there are enough talented players spread out among the nearby clubs (other than Loudoun and McLean) that FCV doesn't need a clean sweep of any one strong team to do OK in their recruiting. I think we are definitely starting to get into where the rubber meets the road on the DA vs ECNL debate, in how/when players make their decisions to move. |

Teams subscribe to a video hosting service where game films are uploaded to. This is not censorship, this is how it is done. The video hosting services also offer crude editing tools to create highlight videos. In order to download the video the hosting service charges a fee for the film. Sorry, but I doubt most people are interested in purchasing the video to post it on YouTube just for you. The game schedules are online, I suggest you go and watch some games in person if you are that interested. Beyond that, you’re not entitled to any game film. |

That’s fair. We are busy on the weekends with games and activities too. We are deciding between ECNL and DA teams for next year. We are just trying to learn more about the clubs and quality and style of play. It looks like Spirit posted some videos last year versus FCV so just hoping for the same. I definitely do not expect any freebies. No offense but hard to trust what people say on this anonymous board so would rather see myself. |

That is legitimately the best way. And the videos aren't always that great. Sometimes they are wonderful. Sometimes, the guy loses track of the ball, and one video had 10 minutes of sky. |

So you have a 2007 . . . There are two clubs with talent as everyone on the board says: formeost Loudon, and a close 2nd Mclean. Watch what those players do ... . Period. The rest of the ccl group has 1-2 max worth a look. If those two clubs players defect out of ECNL to GDA - then game on for USsoccer! |

I think in fairness, for now, we should include FCV. They have both a track record and wins in every age group. Maybe that changes soon, as some have suggested. Maybe it doesn't. However, for now, it clearly hasn't. |
