Good point. Where are the EDP DA schedules? Season supposedly starts in 10 days. Any EDP parents heard anything? Heard that WS players don't even know who is on DA team and who is on EDP

Lets not forget that FCV was supposed to be putting their 03's in EDP DA as well. The likely reason that there is no schedule yet for the DA specific club to club is that all of the non-VA clubs in the division who would have their non-DA team in EDP have fall high school soccer.

Hmm. That's one theory I guess. Did they not know that when they made the announcement there would be a DA division in EDP this fall? Here's another theory...for most of the teams, the girls that were told they did not make the cut for the U16/17 team left the club and they don't have enough girls to make a team. Spirit VA may be the smart one as they will fill empty spots with all those U15s that they have not even told yet won't make the cut for the U15. Hahaha. That is glorious. Mismanagement at Spirit from pro team down through DA, EDP and Super Y. Pull it together Spirit. Am actually rooting for you.

Then FCV made the exact same mis-management as Spirit. Also, lots of 03s cut from DA at FCV did in fact stay but the cut 04's certainly bolted. The 03's that stayed train with the DA team, so you have 28 03s practicing on whatever patch of field is left at Evergreen that Barcelona and a random lacrosse team let them have. So the FCV 03's who were told hey would at least be in EDP and practice with DA will now get to play on a NPL team half of which bolted for ECNL teams.

So are you confirming that FCV won't field an EDP DA team or that the FCV 03s will merge with the NPL and play in EDP? I sort of remember that this EDP DA division was supposed to be NPL so maybe its all one and the same. I am asking because if you know the EDP DA division is DOA, I'd really like to know that.

I am speculating on EDP based on the HS soccer seasons north of us. HS is the reason why the ECNL division is so dumb with the Carolina's when a full division could be had from Richmond to South Eastern PA and including 6 teams inside the beltway.

If you mean they have not published the schedules for the EDP DA division they announced, well, then WHY have they not? That's the question and the fact that they cannot figure out rosters (multiple parents report they have not told parents which ones are EDP and which are full DA) tells me they have serious organizational and management issues. Is it reasonable to offer a girl a spot on a DA team and ten days before the season starts after it is impossible to leave to tell them it's actually EDP? Bait-and switch anyone?

The panicked, uninformed parents piece is fake news. Spirit VA has a very good communicator as Academy director who is more than happy to answer any and all questions, and communicate schedules and club information regularly and thoroughly. You'd know if you were a member.

There's no question that some folks on here have agendas from what is written about ad nauseum.
