VYS Soccer - better or worse?

Coaches cost money, licensed coaches cost more money. This is an inherent problem.
Though, there are some very good coaches that volunteer and some that do their best.
VYS has sent out curriculum and had training sessions. It just might be the luck of the draw.
You should complain to the organization that your volunteer coach isn't cutting it.
Maybe you should step up?

If someone complains, what are they going to do? Ask the volunteer to step down? Ask me to volunteer, but what if I don't know anything about soccer?

Is VYS will provide professional trainers and get the Directors involved with the All Star training? We use to have free GK and finishing training for the All Start teams in the past.

Good point! Believe or not, VYS used to provide free training for some programs, including All Star training. Also, our fees were lower and the quality of the service was immensly better. I hope VYS will provide free All Star training this Fall again.

What are you saying? Is there one or isn't there? What have you heard? How would the Cougar parent know about it if it's not listed anywhere. Unlikely that the club would know about it if not listed anywhere unless someone from VYS or organization reached out to them directly.

No, the Cougar parent would have no direct way of knowing about it. I think the conversation moved on from that, and I'm guessing the person asking the Cougar parent about tournaments thought the Cougar parent was talking about their travel teams. (The Cougar parent would only know about that if he/she talks to the travel parents at the club, which is possible but not certain.)

What I'm saying is this:

1. Some clubs don't play the Herndon/FPYC tournaments.

2. Don't be surprised if some of them, along with some clubs that have usually played those tournaments, do something different this fall.

Yes, I was asking the Cougar parent about their travel teams. U8s and All-Stars came up....Speaking of U8s, crossover started this past weekend. I don't think VYS entered any teams. Is that true?
