Grow up and get a vehicle. You don't have to drive it much at all, but at least own something. Or quit asking for rides. .

Would it be strange if they stopped asking you for rides but still didn't get a car? Much more awkward, no?

If you need a thank you note, then I don't need whatever it was you were going to give me.

Honey, is that you? Please get off the computer and go back to you homework.

Love, Mom

I actually like fruitcake, though I have stopped admitting that to people. The only other person I know who also likes it is my sister-in-law.

The fact that they didn't seem to act fascinated and enthralled about the pardoning of a turkey, and that one wore a miniskirt that day seems to upset a lot of people.

People who have a problem like this don't have teenagers and apparently don't have memories either.

I don't own a car. I live in SF and it would cost over $300 a month just to PARK it somewhere, plus there's mass transit to use to get around. When carrying something heavy or if it's raining heavily, there are taxis or Uber.

I NEVER ask someone for a ride. If someone offers I generally won't turn them down, unless it's way out of their way (in which case I offer toll/gas money). I don't brag about not owning a car. Getting rid of my car was the scariest thing I've ever done.

I can't figure out how to take this one. Explain please.

I think moms who have large babies ate well and put the baby first.
moms with small babies were more concerned with staying slim and avoiding stretch marks.
I feel with big babies. I did a better job developing baby.

flame away

The size of a baby is largely genetically determined. If you were a small baby, you are likely to have small babies yourself.

The Germans have the right idea by banning it. I'm sure there are plenty of lovely homeschooling families out there with a well-balanced curriculum, but too bad.

Parents should also not have the right to curse their children with monikers like Mykynzy or Chlamydia and the US should have naming laws like many European countries.

PREACH.

She comes from a life of privilege- a full ivy league education fully funded by her wealthy family. She can lean in because others are leaning in while diapering her kids. Are those career choices- the nanny, the maid, are their choices less than hers? I find that ironic.

What I find ironic is that the governmental and corporate policies in the US which limit maternity and paternity leave and ability to "diaper kids" compared to most other developed nations are set by wealthy and privileged ivy league educated men who are in leadership roles which allow them to set these policies; yet, you select a woman who is advocating bringing in womens voices to influence these policies as the target for your criticism.

I know the FBI will show up at my door if I post my other opinion. But I will just say it's about the Boston bombing...

Historically, perhaps. But now it is women who are the largest critical voice to other women. She is the perfect example.Plenty of women making those policies. And it isn't about policy because if it were we wouldn't need Sandberg to preach her lifestyle.

On so many levels your comment is not relevant. First, the poster was not describing your behavior about cars. Second, you live in SF. Perhaps if you post in SFUM, someone may understand your lack of reading comprehension

Agree that sometimes women can be the worst enemy to other women. But it's kind of like Uncle Tom syndrome other groups who have been discriminated against suffer from.

I'm waiting for at least one of them to break out in a big way and write a tell all book. There is at least one gay child - there's got to be. My money is on whichever one that may be.

So, there is something wrong with heaving a gay child? Did you ever think, PP, that you may have a gay child too? Would you be similarly concerned and expect your gay child to write a tell all book about how he was raised by you?

There's nothing wrong with having a gay child. But a gay child may not be super happy living in a conservative, pro-life, religious household.

So now you are making the leap that gay people cannot be happy being pro life, religious and conservative? You keep digging yourself in deeper by assuming you know what gay people feel

I also don't get what is so damn bad about big box retail and chain restaurants. Our location gives us access to a huge number of these and we feel lucky that we can take our pick of grocery stores/restaurants/stores. It's better than being stuck in a town where WalMart is your only option.

So do you like Chilis or PF Changs better?
