I don't own a car. I live in SF and it would cost over $300 a month just to PARK it somewhere, plus there's mass transit to use to get around. When carrying something heavy or if it's raining heavily, there are taxis or Uber.

I NEVER ask someone for a ride. If someone offers I generally won't turn them down, unless it's way out of their way (in which case I offer toll/gas money). I don't brag about not owning a car. Getting rid of my car was the scariest thing I've ever done. [/quote]

On so many levels your comment is not relevant.  First, the poster was not describing your behavior about cars.  Second, you live in SF.  Perhaps if you post in SFUM, someone may understand your lack of reading comprehension[/quote]
