FTR, I like Taylor. Much more so that she finally laid low for a couple months because it was just too much. She resurfaced to attend charity events and go on dates with Travis. I didn’t like him either at first (I preferred Ratty as her intellectual artistic soul tortured equal) but it’s clear Travis adores her and he’s got a sincere smile that reaches his eyes. She’s a great role model for young girls, genius level lyricists, gifted musician and entertainer, hyperaware and open about her flaws, self made billionaire based on talent alone yet still relatable, kind to fans, crew, strangers, sick children and beautiful. What’s not to like?

Nothing. No one can possibly not like Taylor swift. No one could find a single thing wrong with her ever. She is practically perfect in every way.

Nah- she is like Trump- her fans just do NOT care and will not be shamed about this. They will justify all that away. She has never really had values, but put some on like a bejewled outfit to appeal to fans and more young women.

That said, at this point, we have to be okay with interacting with people who voted for Trump, we do it all the time. The only way forward is through and that doesn’t mean fighting this out. It means finding commonalities- even if they are at the bottom of the glass.

Grown ups interact with all kinds of people of all political stripes and backgrounds.

Normal people don't isolate themselves to only people who think and believe exactly like them, nor do they cut off people over politics.

Taylor is clearly a normal, functioning adult, not someone stuck in middle school mindsets.

As a mom, I think she is a great role model for young women. She seems to be really respect herself as well ans others and stands up for herself when not being treated fairly.

That was so refreshing to read. Honestly, the mindset on DCUM is so insular and "you're dead to me" if anyone dares to disagree or voice a different opinion. Glad to see Taylor Swift doesn't subscribe to those ridiculous, pious "purity tests".
