SWW - when do notices go out about interviews?

That’s what happened last year. Some people were told they would not be getting interviews and others were given an interview time.

I actually prefer that because it gives clarity one way or the other.

Banneker has already started their interviews.

Banneker sent out the first wave of interview invitations before the teacher recommendation deadline had passed. Presumably there will be more waves.

Still nothing. Hopefully we don't have to wait until Friday.

Has anyone called the school to ask them? I wish I had thought to do that earlier today

Things were past deadline the year we applied also - I called when it was nearing COB and got a gruff office person who had clearly gotten a ton of calls on the topic who said "Tomorrow 5pm" and hung up on me - it was 530pm the next day and we got the email

I just got four emails (back to back) inviting us to interview on either Feb 22 or Mar 1. We had Banneker today.

No word from either Walls or Banneker. Now having real questions.

This evening, my kid received an invitation for a SWW interview. The email said that we would receive a second email tomorrow with the exact date and time.

I have to say, with the extended deadlines for recommendations, it must have been tough to wade through the pile so quickly.

The turnaround time on this is really quick. I think DCPS should adjust the due dates for application HS. Walls gets over 1,000 applicants each year. And it is not someone’s full time job to run admissions.

How on earth don they get through it all? Seems impossible to me.

They received 1400 last year. Not sure how may will receive interviews. How do they even manage interviewing hundreds of students in only two days? They must have several groups doing the interviews simultaneously.
