Harry broke his part in the universal understanding. |

I just finished the book. It was okay. He's telling his story from his perspective; just like all of the political people who write books after they leave office, that's his prerogative. Some parts were interesting to me; some parts were not (some of the war and helicopter parts). I found the brother relationship most interesting; they both have been through the same shyte yet there is a difference because their future paths are so varying.
I think he is on a path of better self awareness but I don't think he is there yet. He's in his late 30s, and in my late 30s I did a lot of stupid selfish crap. At 40 after doing all that, I looked inward and learned a lot, I think he has the ability to get there...maybe getting all this out will be a turning point for him. I do think he has the right to live without drones and such...unfortunately if the money wasn't there people wouldn't do it. |
Good for Harry! |
Who wants to really live in cold, isolated, MAGA minded Montana. Nope. |
How many death threats v have Zara received in her life? There’s was no way the paparazzi was going to allow Meghan to fade into a country life. What are you smoking PP. |
People who want a simple and happy family life, away from world's craziness. |
As a Black female, I think I’d probably encounter a fair amount of the world’s craziness in Montana. |
Not the PP. As someone who is mostly anti-Royal and read the book expecting a hate read (which I did not get), I didn’t think he was complaining at all. He was factual. The fact is that his life as a child was horrific after his mother died. That is just the truth. I didn’t come away from that book thinking he was whiny. I came away from the book — which I expected to gleefully hate — really saddened. It’s not out of touch for Harry to write about a series of horrifying events he experienced as a child. I have no idea where the crazy haters are making all this stuff up from. I think they are either crazy or they didn’t read the book. |
I don’t know, do you? This is not unique to Meghan. Princess Anne was almost kidnapped in 1974 and has had multiple stalkers arrested. Unfortunately, it comes with being in the public eye. Plus, people keep talking about the “paparazzi” hounding Meghan. How many “paparazzi” photos of Meghan were there published after the wedding and before they left the UK? The only images I remember seeing were from official events. To the point that the images of paparazzi used in their documentary had nothing to do with Meghan & Harry. It is well known that the UK press will not publish paparazzi photographs of the Royal Family. Kate & her children walk in the park around Kensington Palace and are not photographed. The famous topless photos of Kate were taken and published in France & they won a lawsuit over it. Harry & Meghan’s issues with paparazzi arose when they left the UK. https://www.newidea.com.au/princess-anne-stalker-james-ballinger-sentenced-stab-threat https://www.irishtimes.com/news/princess-anne-s-stalker-released-as-court-finds-no-threat-of-violence-1.21470 |
Maybe people do talk about the paparazzi hounding Meghan. People also talk about the toxic press, with the recent noxious opinion piece by Jeremy Clarkson — friend of Camilla — standing out as a particularly abhorrent example of this. Do the other royals get similar treatment? Not comments on their actual behavior, but are there articles about the author’s sadistic fantasies published in the mainstream press? I don’t think many have suggested that absolutely no one else in the Royal family ever gets threats. It has been pointed out, though, that Meghan gets quite a few racially tinged, violent threats — something that is indeed “unique to Meghan” — and that the limits on their security when the Sussexes in the UK have not been adequately resolved. https://edition.cnn.com/2022/11/30/uk/meghan-sussex-threats-intl-scli/index.html |
She isn't a random black woman, she is a white looking biracial wealthy woman who is married to a whiter prince and has powerful connections. She'll be fine in modern day Montana. |
|
Just because she gets more clicks hence more tabloid interest because of the ongoing drama, doesn't mean her life would be in danger if they weren't continuously creating content and controversy.
I get their need of sticking it to royals and tabloids and rub gain more fame, relevance and wealth but it shouldn't be a bigger priority than having a peaceful and private life they say they want. |
| People will move on to next shiny object if these left limelight. William's kids are heirs and about to become teens, they'll attract a lot more attention. |
He actually mostly complained about the press, which was very legit. He did not complain about royal duties, which I found surprising. I would think going to endless nursing home openings and ribbon cuttings would be tedious. He seems to be sorry that he can't do that stuff now. |
