Also, there is no way to "force" non working older or retired people to get a vaccine. My retired aunt was radicalized while living in Georgia and refused to get vaccinated, it's her decision, she has no employer or school to "force" her.

Why do you think people got radicalized or it was easy to radicalize them? Because this became a control issue and vaccines were forced on people against their will. Things like consent have all of a sudden become irrelevant. You don't think that this had any effect on the minds of older people or those at risk? It was very easy to convince them that vaccine had nanobots or alien dna or whatever in it when they could easily observe just how desperate our politicians in Blue cities and metro areas had become to get the shots into literally EVERY arm regardless of risk factor or previous Covid recovery. This didn't make sense to older people and they became an easy target for subsequent brainwashing. This trust in our institutions was lost because the methods of coercion violated all the rules of medical ethics. Just because you bought into it, doesn't mean many didn't question it.

Oh Bs. My pediatrician recommended it for most of her patients. My doc also recommended it for most of her patients. It was their informed medical opinion, not some stupid conspiracy.

All of my elderly family members got vaccinated with no fuss. They don't watch Fox News. My younger cousin did not. He is an avid watcher of Fox News..

Haha. Maybe the dumba$$es will get vaccinated and head home.

Yeah, because taking a vax right after Covid recovery is soooo "science"

LOL. Did they ALL get covid? That’s even better karma.

Let me guess, half of them if not more already had it. It's been 2 years. If they have it again, they'll be fine, except those who have serious issues. Which is why vax mandates were harmful, they ruined all the trust in our health institutions, a "gift" that will keep on giving. Those people who really needed the vax (elderly, obese, those with pre-existing conditions) ended up not taking it, while we forced healthy and young, Covid recovered, and even little kids to take the shots to be able to participate in society.

Our entire coercion campaign and all the mandates targeted those of working age and students and kids. It skipped those who don't work for a living or attend college, ironically, the "skipped" category includes most people at risk to actually have complications. How "sciency"

How would you suggest those skipped groups be included?

By not introducing the mandates after it was announced that vax doesn't stop transmission and applying these mandates to all the low risk groups. This didn't make sense to those already skeptical or hesitant, so they hesitated even more and started to reach out to every possible information source to confirm their fears or their reasons for hesitation. Acknowledging natural immunity, acknowledging that not everyone needs these shots and it should be a choice, acknowledging that other early treatments exist or that we are open to investigating them instead of suppressing them in favor of these vaccines. By marketing these shots like we do Flu shots vs. the only salvation we have while we know so very little about the shots efficacy and safety given the lack of long term data. Older and more vulnerable people who see others around them dying would have gotten themselves protected in due time.

I don't watch Fox news, but I thought they were pro-vaccine, so was Trump, he advised his fans to get them. Your narrative is falling apart, sorry.

Astroturfed probably

I dont understand why journalists aren’t looking into who is funding this. It can’t be that hard. There is NO WAY most of these folks can afford the gas.

And what for? So that you could freeze their bank accounts? They did nothing wrong, people have a right to protest unfair segregationist policies.

Please expound upon said segregationist policies that are currently in place. Are they protesting the Kennedy Center, or….?

You know what it is exactly, you are being glib about it and baiting for responses, typical troll.

No, actually I don’t. And I assume you are aren’t responding because you don’t know either. Mask mandates and vaccine mandates are gone, except in limited setting, like healthcare and the military.

What segregationist policies affect these guys?

Most doctors had to follow CDC advisory. But even then, some doctors weren't so eager to advise the vax for their low risk patients. My doctor was one of them. She never offered or asked me why I don't want to take it, because she knew I had a confirmed case of Covid and tested positive for antibodies. This never came up during our subsequent appointments. Our pediatric office sent announcements when child vaccines were available, but never pushed us to vax our kids. IDK.. You must be lucky to have access to such highly opinionated healthcare professionals. But you know what? Your doctor recommending it for you is totally fine and I have no beef with it. What I am concerned about and what these protests are about is when this no longer becomes a medical issue between you and your doctor but becomes pure coercion to force general population to do what someone thinks is good for them under duress.

You are wrong, they aren't gone. They are removed on the account of low case counts. There is nothing to indicate that they will never come back or will only come back if people start dropping dead and a new variant is like Ebola. In places like NYC there is a color coded "danger" alert system where these measures all will come back should CASES rise. It's likely they will come back everywhere where population like you have embraced them. In NYC up to this day there are indefinite mandates for all employers to vax their employees, and there are masks on kids 2-5 to attend daycare and preschool. Maybe it's their local fight, but it's far from over, school unmasking and general indoor public place unmasking is still controversial in most large metro areas. Medical workers also deserve control over their bodies and shouldn't be coerced into something unnecessary (boosters) that doesn't stop infection (a lot of them are Covid recovered).

Well, that's the problem: You don't watch Fox News, so you don't see their anti-vax side. I'd say your narrative is the one that's falling apart, but in order for it to fall apart, it had to be put together in the first place, and it never was.

My aunt was radicalized by FOX news and all the people around her in Georgia that watched FOX news. They all talked about what they saw on FOX and vowed not to get vaccinated.

A 68 year old otherwise healthy old friend in Georgia just died of Covid in February. Voluntarily unvaccinated, and still worked at a place that did not require masks or vaccines. He was one year away from being able to take retirement. Also addicted to FOX news.

Why are there no protests against public indecency then if you guys are exclusively concerned about “freedom”?

This is how I know you guys are actually full of sht and it’s nothing but politics.

Georgia was terrible. They lost so many to covid. Shame on Georgia. Get some medical expertise there and listen to it for crying out loud.

You don't need news to be skeptical about what's going on and figure out that some things just don't make sense. There is a lot of info outside of news channels, if you think that all we do all day is watch TV you are delusional. I am hardly a unicorn when it comes to being skeptical and there are many skeptics even among fully vaxed, many vaxed are also against mandates and being anti-mandates isn't the same as being an anti-vaxxer in general. My family is fully vaxed except those of us Covid recovered BTW. You also must remember that many vax hesitant posts here on these forums had been deleted due to policies back then. You were simply living in a bubble.

What is public indecency and what do protests against it have to do with these protests? Is this some weird form of whataboutism? And what do you mean by "you guys", who the hell do you think I am?
