I 💯 that there aren’t ethical billionaires. People who make money without harming anyone can be an ethical billionaire. Philanthropic billionaires can be ethical billionaires. Ethical is also subjective, and it sounds like per your definition she can’t ever be, but I respectfully disagree. I also highly doubt that she alone is determining where to donate her money, she’s a business with a team after all, but even if she does yeah, it’s her money. She decides. How can you possibly argue with the level of donations she’s given to food banks? This feels like a weird level of anger directed at an entertainer who hasn’t harmed anyone and has just made money. |
| *💯 disagree* meant to say |
I think if you objectively applied your criteria for “ethical billionaire” to someone other than Swift they would be found wanting. |
It’s ok to disagree. I disagree with you. And this is a thread about Travis and Taylor. If you feel that strongly about discussing the ethics of billionaire musicians maybe start a thread on it. |
DP. You’re comparing the PPP’s rant about capitalism “ruining the world” to an innocuous comment like, “I think hugging my kids is okay”? Enough said.

DP. Prepare to be lectured for calling out a clearly unstable person. |
She released it as quickly as she could because she hoped she still had a chance with Matty and didn’t want him to make a commitment (or a baby!). This was her cry out to him, no matter what the prologues said. That was done for the sake of the rest of us. But TTPD clearly did not have the desired effect. |
We heard that a lot in April and May. She was wrecked over MH and would take him back if she could. Travis would have just gone away like every other boyfriend. I guess the album also convinced her anti-MH fans that she'd been serious about him. |

You people are loons.
She took bits and pieces and strong feelings and made something out of it. She crafted songs and then wanted to play them for the world because she was proud of them. She is proud of herself. And she deserves to be. And I don’t know how you think this album “landed” other than with millions of sales and her dominating the charts. Also with plenty of critical acclaim. |
+1 The first time I heard her latest album, I actually hated it. So many words! I told my daughter she needed an editor. But then I listened to it again, several times, over and over - and now I love it. There are only a few songs I don't like - the rest are fantastic. I think she outdid herself. And the weirdos who take every word literally are beyond silly. |
Interesting. I’ve always taken a bunch of listens to start to appreciate her new music, and then I listen on repeat, totally obsessed. That never happened with this album - it’s the first time since 1989. I’ve given up. |
Me too. I literally love 15 of the 31 songs and like all but 2. 31 songs, that’s insane. She’s amazing. |
| Isn’t the album a flop? What singles are been pop hits? |
| Swift could record an hour of her taking violent bowel movements and people would force themselves to listen to it until they loved it. It would sell in the millions. She has succeeded in turning grown women into fan babies. |
What planet are you on? Seriously where are you getting information and news? https://www.newser.com/story/349704/taylor-swift-is-taking-up-a-third-of-billboards-hot-100.html?utm_source=part&utm_medium=nordot&utm_campaign=rss_main https://boomsite.fm/prep/taylor-swifts-the-tortured-poets-department-is-no-1-for-the-seventh-straight-week/ |
