| Are the parents at Beverly Farms generally friendly? We will be new to the school - DD is going into 2nd grade. Met a few families so far that have been quite unfriendly to us. |
We don't go to BF but a nearby school and we have found it very hard to break into established social circles. Many of these parents know each other from having older kids or being in preschool together. I bed if you reach out to parents of older kids or who aren't in a social group it may be easier. |
| We are friendly! Consider joining the pool (Regency) this summer. You will meet plenty of families. |
| I found them very snooty. It's the whole Potomac/Churchill scene. |
| PP, that was my experience as well. We are leaving the school next year, thankfully. |
| It isnt just that school. It is everywhere. Mean moms and their status cliques. It is bizarre. It's like high school again. You will find a few normal ones. Hint: They don't wear yoga pants and workout tanks all day with make-up on. |
| We have generally experienced the same unfriendly behaviors, with the exception of literally two families. Our child will be leaving BFES next year too. |
| Is their a culture of meanness at this school? Are the PTA moms involved in this? |
| Moving away is your only hope-the parents in Potomac are the snootiest, most entitled bunch I have ever encountered. I would choose another school/neighborhood. |
I agree! We live here and I wish we chose to live in Rockville instead. |
| Why is this surprising to anyone? If you move to a super white, hugely affluent area, you have made your choice. |
Oh please. Rockville is Little Havana |
? Check out RM cluster racial breakdown. Far from Little Havana. ^PP, we looked at Churchill cluster, and chose RM cluster over that one, partly because of the "Little Havana" poster type people. |
| Little Havana? Really? MAGA, eh?? |
| Looks like a lot of trolls on this page. I have two good friends at BFES and they are not the least bit snobby. I'm positive there is a group of them (I live nearby) but by all means they are not the majority. |
