how to tell kids not to play with a Oujia board

Anonymous
MY DD is 18 years old and she said she played with the Oujia at her friends how.... What will you do?

You can't seriously be concerned about this.

Drugs? Teen pregnancy? Not getting merit aid to a DCUM approved SLAC?

Those are problems. This is not.

My DD's ultra catholic school actually told them in religion class that Ouji boards are evil. No lie.

Ha. I was just about to order one for my kid's birthday!

My mom gave me one for Christmas when I was 8.

What is your concern, OP?

Milton Bradley somehow found a portal to the occult.

It's a board game! How can each and every ouija board out there let ghosts and spirits talk to the living? It's not logical. And I am actually a believer in spirits. But ouija doesn't freak me out.

My mother was like this. Now that I am older I realize she was mentally ill. Get therapy if this is a real post.

I'd ask if she had fun, which is what I always ask my daughter when she comes home from a friend's house.

Have them watch the original Excorcist movie and they may not want to.

I left a few sleepovers when the Ouija came out. I don't mess with that shit.

Your DD is 18 which is an adult so you can do nothing to her! If she is going to college than she can play with it there. Seriously, worry about real problems.

The Oujia Board itself isn't the concern. It's just cardboard and plastic. There is nothing special about it. However, messing around with spirits can bring experiences that are unsettling to those without training. People who are open to the spirit world use techniques to protect themselves and others from negative entities. It's not like they will physically harm your daughter, OP. She just may find that by opening herself to communication, she brings forth negative energy that she isn't prepared to deal with.

If she insists on screwing around with a Oujia Board, have her learn ways to protect herself and others in the room. The techniques are very simple and very effective.
