I have two years experience as a Director at a public company. I am starting to recruit as my current commute is tough. I'm wondering what is the market comp range for these titles - including base/bonus/options
- VP - Director - Manager Any data points appreciated. Thanks! I am at $140k base/20% bonus and option grant valued at around $35k per year. I work in investor relations (mix of PR/Finance/Law into one job) |
| While I'm a director making almost the same as you, it's impossible to get an accurate range, as companies vary so much on pay and title. Some companies make many people VPs for example. Others reserve this title only for top senior leadership. Within our company, the pay band within title varies by dept. For example, directors in Marketing makes less than managers in Legal. |

manager 110 base 15% bonus
11-12k stock |
| These salaries seem insanely low for a manager or director let alone VP?? Is this a monthly salary or something? |
|
So hard to tell.
Vp here and the salaris above seem so incredibly low. That's how much middle managers make at my comoany. I'm heavily bonused. Last year W2 was 376k. |
|
Manager at CPG Fortune 100 company - $105K base, bonus was $12K.
Directors are $180K ish base. VPs are $250K base. |
You seem to be confused. Or high. |
| Director $250,000 |
Subsequent posts confirmed they were low. |
| I'm at a tiny publicly traded company and am director level at 140k with 40k bonus (very volatile on the bonus). |
| Why don't you talk to a recruiting firm or better several of them? They should give you a very good idea of what to expect with your specific skills. They can send you a few actual job openings which include the salary ranges. |
| Glassdoor. And no, $140 plus bonus does not sound low for a Director to me. |
Do you work at a Fortune 1000? |
|
Low for a VP.

| A monthly salary of 140k would be 1.6 million a year. Do you really think directors or even VPs at fortune 100 companies make that much? I want to live in your dream world. |
