Best elementary schools in NOVA?

Looking to buy a house in a good school district with a good elementary school for my son. Will be in preschool but need to think long-term for schools. DH works in DC. Any experiences would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Mclean HS cluster with Franklin Sherman ES. We are happy with small school. Driving to DC is not bad. House price is not low

Isn't there a gun shop near this school?

Budget and commute (DC isn't specific enough- neighborhood or nearest Metro station would be helpful)

It is Virginia, there are guns near every school.

Need the budget. Very different if you are looking to spend 2 mil vs 500K.

We needed a good, reasonably priced neighborhood in a good school district for our son so we are moving to West Springfield and our son will start school at West Springfield Elementary. We also looked at Wakefield Forest. Both schools are excellent.

FS is special. It looks over the fifth grade classrooms.

Thanks for the replies! Our budget is $500,000 but we are really open to any area in NOVA with a 30-45min commute for my DH in to DC by car. He works near The Navy Yard/NATS stadium in SW DC but goes to to work early at 5:30am so misses most traffic. Commute would be more challenging for ride home at 5pm.

Sorry Charlie.
You have to give up commute AND/SCHOOLS
Your budget is too low.

Im going to save you a lot of time on Redfin.

For 500k, you get a short commute to DC from the burbs, OR good schools. Your choice.

Falls church.
That's a good as you'll get. The schools are rated highly, but I'm sure people are happy enough.
You are priced out of South Arlington.

I don't know. Maybe West Springfield ES, Rolling Valley ES, Hunt Valley, Orange Hunt. It might take a small bump in budget.
