War with Iran

Shocking news, Israel was quite busy killing civilians in Iran. Seems like these guys love killing the defenseless whether it's Gaza or Lebanon

At this point what do the Iranians want that would end the war? Trump killed their supreme leader and crossed a million red lines. They don’t have the ability to project power and retaliate but obviously they can shut down the strait for as long as they want which is their main bargaining chip.

What could we even offer them which would be enough to allow ships to pass through? If Trump declares victory and leaves, Iran can just keep everything shut down.

I think probably they will rebuild and rapidly pursue a nuclear weapon since there’s no reason not to anymore.

Today's Headline: Iran-Pakistan talk "lasting security"
Tomorrow's (not improbable) headline: Car bombing in Islamabad that IDF attributes to Iranian proxy

What a world we live in when the absurd can come true.

Pakistan’s foreign minister calls Iranian counterpart ‘to promote peace’
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2026/3/23/iran-war-live-tehran-vows-to-completely-close-hormuz-if-power-plants-hit?update=4428293

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar called his Iranian counterpart Abbas Aragchi and “discussed recent regional developments”.

Dar emphasized the importance of “dialogue and diplomacy to promote peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond”, according to a statement by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry.

The phone call came hours after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

The conversations follow a news report from the UK-based Financial Times that said Pakistan is playing a central role in mediating between the United States and Iran, with the capital Islamabad proposed as a potential venue for negotiations.

Basically Iran holds all the cards at the moment but they need to play their hand before we go too far up the escalation ladder into what Robert Pape has deemed the 3rd Stage of his Escalation Trap, which is the most dangerous phase of this war: Forced expansion of the war. Basically a point of no return.

Trita Parsi discusses Iran's options and why they shouldn't keep dunking on Trump from 11:01 in this video from today.

Give Netanyahu credit. He is making decisions for two countries.

Israel’s decapitation strikes are only short
Term successful; the reality is Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis, and IRGC/Iran are still there and still strong. They have zero idea how to deal with the region. They don’t understand the region they are in.

They really believed the Gulf Arabs would fight Iran for them due to an ancient Shia/Sunnj divide? Wtf?

Keeping Saddam alive would’ve prevented the rise of the IRGC.

Remember what a Channel 14 news reporter Tamir Morag said about it. Channel 14 is a far right Israeli news channel that is close to Netanyahu.

Also remember what the diplomat Seyed Abbas Araghchi had to say about it. Then they assassinated him several months later.

In this case every confession is a confession.

Right-wing Israeli TV report fuels rumors Israel supplying arms to Iran protesters
https://www.timesofisrael.com/right-wing-israeli-tv-report-fuels-rumors-israel-supplying-arms-to-iran-protesters/

According to the network’s political correspondent, Tamir Morag, the weapons have enabled protesters to kill hundreds of Iranian security personnel — a relatively high toll that nonetheless paled in comparison with the thousands of protesters being “slaughtered,” said Morag.

While Morag was careful in his report not to explicitly implicate Israel in the alleged weapons transfer, on social media, he was more flippant.

“We reported tonight on Channel 14: foreign actors are arming the protesters in Iran with live firearms, which is the reason for the hundreds of regime personnel killed,” he wrote. “Everyone is free to guess who is behind it.”

LONDON — An arson attack on several ambulances from a Jewish volunteer service is being treated as an antisemitic hate crime, police in London said Monday.

The number of antisemitic incidents reported in Britain has surged since the Israel-Hamas war began in late 2023, including attacks on synagogues. The Community Security Trust, a British charity that works to protect the country’s Jewish population, recorded 3,700 incidents in 2025, compared with 1,662 in 2022.

The claim for responsibility appears to have come from an Iran-aligned group, Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya - The Islamic Movement of the People of the Right Hand - after it made an unsubstantiated claim of responsibility on its Telegram channel earlier.

Were the ambulances buried w/ the medics killed, the way Israel did in Gaza? I've got news for you: Many in London didn't know they had their own ambulances and are wondering why and who is paying for the service.

Don’t you fret. It’s a nonprofit run entirely by volunteers. Are you actually still trying to push your BS?

Hatzola Northwest was established as a nonprofit organization in 1979 to provide free emergency medical services to residents of North London. According to its website, it works closely with national emergency services and area hospitals and responds to thousands of calls a year, “from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions.”

im a msulim poster and the PP needs to stop it- this was a horrific attack and so are all the others. the rise in anti-jewish sentiment must stop! in fact non Isreali Jews should be made to feel safe and welcome for political reasons aside from the fact that its a human right. Isreal loves to point out that everyone hates jewish people and that they have to murder maim and steal in order to rot survive and the horrific acts like damaging ambulances, attacking synagogues, shouting at or being rude to jewish people is poisonous not just for them but also us. we dont want to live in a medieval hateful ignorant society and that means eschewing violence. I used anti-jew b/c the co-opting of antisemitic to refer only to one group of semites is infuriating to me - the Arabs are semites too- in fact when God promised the land to ABRAHAM, the Arabs are included in that and most of the progeny of Abraham is not Israeli/jews, they are from/of one grandson while Abraham had many grandsons and they are refereed to as the Arabs).

I googled Rachel Corrie. Apparently she was an American citizen that Israel bulldozed over and then they mocked her by having a pancake party in her honor.

Then they took organ samples and refused to return them. Likely stealing them to donate to Israelis just the way the steal organs from Palestinians.

Its more about making money and future economic development. The other gulf states want to able to freely sell their oil and build diversified modern economies that integrate with the West. They see Iran’s hatred for Israel and the West in general as bad for business. The head of the UAE wants to wipe-out the extremists.
