Funny, their younger teams are doing really well. Not sure why you would think other wise.

They are nowhere near as good as the older teams. Not even close. Dilution is real.

What club I your opinion is the best in younger age groups?

FCV is better than Loudoun at 06/07 and way better at older ages.

Better at losing? Loudoun 07 stomped them again and again. FCV can’t even field a full team of 07s.

07 is an off-year generally in the DMV.

Sure. But FCV 08s are even worse. It’s a bad trend.

That is very interesting, all 4 top clubs actually.

At our big club the 2007 birth year is a gap year with less talent then prior years.

Well talent is more disbursed at this age. They have one tall athletic back. And a good forward.

Yes 07 is a gap year. Recruiting not over yet.

McLean is to blame for their turnover. If they would learn to stick with their current players and not recruit over top of them they would stay strong. Instead they go out recruiting. Most of the players they bring in are not top players and it makes their current ones unhappy and they leave. McLean 2005 team would be a powerhouse if they hadn't brought in a bunch of new girls and benched the better ones. 2/3 of the team left. They are doing above average now but I would argue that they would be a top team had Clyde not angered so many of his parents. The McLean 2008 team has lost top players to Arlington and FCV this year.
