| Yes, but at least they have something for indoor workouts and training. What will Next Level have in the Fall? |
| that's not the point. There isn't anything similar to fill the need of indoor training for the demand. The St. James and Tysons and Gaithersburg are too few and far apart. |
| The indoor facility was a big money maker for Next Level. I hope they find a substitute just not too far out in the burbs. |
| Why is Next Level losing the indoor facility? It is closing? |
Their lease expired. Building is owned by someone else who is going to redevelop the site. |
Thanks. That is sad news. We live close and my kid just started an introductory Lacrosse program there, he also plays soccer at Next Level with Brit-Am. Hope they can find alternate venues nearby. |
They've struck some sort of deal with WES to use the fields there (including adding lights). But I don't know what, if anything, they will do for indoor facilities. |
| I would rather have a lit field in winter at disposal than a small indoor facility. I have not shoveled snow once this winter. 30 degrees and up is fine for outdoor practices. You can do more with more space and it does not smell as bad... |
I heard from someone that Hawks practice three times a week year round outside, if it's good enough for them... As a parent you're trading the stench of middle school laxers at the indoor facility with the cold and damp outside, I think I'd prefer the latter. |

They won't be able to use the outdoor fields unless the air temperature is above 40. They will also have to cancel any practices or clinics due to inclement weather. That's why they don't use the outdoor fields now.
The lights will help extend their daily use from March- november. These guys are pretty clever so I bet they will make good use of the lit fields. |
Why can't they use the fields if the air temp is 40 or below? It is a private organization. My son plays for them and he has definitely had practices and played in games where the air temperature was below 40. |
My son plays for them too and they have not played any games or practices on the fields at WES from mid November through February. |
Different teams I guess. My son's team had outdoor practices all winter. |
No winter practices at WES in the evenings due to lack of daylight. Apparently NL/WES are sharing the cost of lights installation so that should allow PM practices November-March. |
