You did not really present anything resembling a rational thought and people pointed that out, over and over. If you are having another break, I hope you can find help. |
Individual player ability starts evening out by 8th grade. Coaching matters at this point. That is where DMV teams are lacking and why they are inferior to teams from the other regions mentioned. Lacrosse is a team sport. It does not work for one star player to run the ball all the way down the field and score. Good teams have learned to play defense. Defense and goalies will start to make the difference. Teams with more assisted goals will win. Too many coaches in the DMV do not understand this. |
Cool. Time will prove me correct on everything. Ask any of the IAAM, WCAC, or ISL coaches about the 2029 class, they will agree with me that it is a deep class with tons of high end talent. SPSG, McDonogh, Spalding, Maryvale, and St Mary’s 2029 classes are absolutely outstanding, you will see. Although, your “no it’s not” argument is super persuasive. |
Gonna be a rough year for the local teams I think. |

You all have 300 pages to go |
Every travel team has solid players who can pull off an upset- even when you're down to one sub. Kudos to SLB and HW. Past matchups and club rankings are meaningless in the big picture -- which is recruiting.
Bottom line - DMV bickering shows how entitled, privileged and annoying parents and their players can be. That will be the difference in D1 college recruiting. |
Finally a voice of reason |
It’s not DMV bickering, it’s lacrosse bickering. It’s the most entitled sport there is. |

Where is the M&D DC dad that was trying to convince everyone not to try out for Capital? |
Probably looking at the American Select roster and seeing 10 m&d dc girls and a measly 3 BLC girls on the roster and thinking why would we want to combine with a less talented team? Maybe the BLC parents should bring their kids over to m&d dc tryouts? |

This is comical - if you are the parent of one of those 10 and you do not try out for Capital your kid will have you to blame. |
Maybe. Or maybe the good BLC players will want to leave the #25 ranked BLC team that will make up most of the Cap Blue team for the #9 team that is collecting better players each year. Cap Blue 25 was awesome, and the 26 team is great, but the 27s and 28s stink. With the program headed in the wrong direction, it might make some parents reconsider the old Cap Blue model and some top BLC girls might jump ship. Prior to this summer that had never even been in question, which is why Cap Blue/BLC parents are on here coping constantly. |
