The Harris-Walz campaign is not forthcoming about their intentions on either Harris or Walz debate planning. Trump’s campaign has proposed numerous future debates and Harris-Walz refuse to engage or respond. They don’t seem interested in debating their opponents. |
Trump has proposed more than the Fox debate. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump proposed three presidential debates on three different television networks in September, among them an ABC News debate he had previously dropped out of after President Biden exited the race. Speaking with reporters from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Thursday, Trump said his campaign has agreed to three debates, to be hosted by Fox News, ABC News and NBC News. The Sept. 10 debate to be hosted by ABC News is the only one in which the Harris campaign has also agreed to participate. Harris confirmed in a post on X she'd see him in September at the ABC debate. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/trump-proposes-debate-harris-september/ Harris won’t talk about any further debates until after the first debate. Why can’t her team work with Trump’s team to schedule more debates? |
He does that all the time. It makes no difference what questions he is asked. He just drones on with a pack of lies. |
Trump said his campaign has agreed to three debates, to be hosted by Fox News, ABC News and NBC News. Those aren’t lies, those are proposed debate venues. He has agreed to those debates. Harris won’t allow her team to respond and she herself won’t respond. How do you think the campaigns should arrange debates? Trump is trying to get Harris to debate. She is refusing to negotiate and schedule debates. If she isn’t willing to schedule debates that Trump is proposing, why isn’t her team doing the work to arrange a debate venue that she is willing to participate in? She can do more than just say no. |
Like the Commission on Presidential Debates, which has historically always scheduled these? The RNC refused to cooperate with them years ago. |
I’m sure she’ll get to it in two weeks when Trump releases his tax returns. |
Fox news may be the issue. That network was sued and lost hundreds of millions for lying about the 2020 election outcome. Why should any candidate or viewer watch a debate from such a dishonest company? |
The thing is, Trump's Fox News debate occurs before the ABC debate. There's no reason for her agree to that one - after the debate happens, what's to stop Trump from pulling out of the ABC debate? He's already agreed to it, pulled out, then agreed to it again. What's one more flip-flop from Trump? She's doing the right thing here. |
If Trump pulls out of the debate that’s a win for Harris. She would be able to claim victory that Trump was scared to debate her. Right now Trump can claim that victory. Harris is too scared to debate him. |
Today, Kamala is refusing to cooperate with Trump. |
Ok, Kamala should tell Don that she wants to debate at another time and place and they should do so. There are plenty of options. The problem is Kamala isn’t participating in the process. |
Her campaign is going very very well. Whatever they are doing is what they should be doing. |
No, he can't. Just because he unilaterally "agreed" to a Fox News debate does not make her scared. He, on the other hand, *did* agree to the ABC debate then pulled out. If Republicans really wanted a Fox News debate (which they had in 2020) maybe they should have stuck with the commission. |
What point are you making? That Kamala won’t do well debating Trump so she should continue to avoid doing so? |
Clearly not - she's going to debate him on ABC. |
