Biden's SOTU

Anonymous
DP. I'm gonna say what I posted last night.

It's clear the Democratic Party and whomever wrote Biden's speech after the 30 min mark (not sure if that was on-script or Biden winging it..) is out of touch. I think you need to pay closer attention to Texas and what's happening there.

I think Biden blew his one chance to unify America and my fear is it will cost him the election. I believe foreign countries will involve themselves in our elections behind the scenes and the propaganda will say "remember the SCOTUS speech? Biden considers you the enemy, so you better vote against him."

If he wins, it will be by Republicans who decide not to vote or take sides.

The old fart changed my mind. I was dead set on not voting for him because of his age but he seemed sprightly and feisty enough. Who knows what his mental capacity will be during the next four years but for now he seems well enough to get my vote.

Did he mention that fast food is now a luxury?

It’s really a big change.

It's not. If you get the apps, they have plenty of offers. Just got 4 breakfast sandwiches for 7 bucks. Also, if you are unhappy with prices, maybe check out the record profits all companies are touting and figure it out from there.

+1 You can see the record profits here:

Yeah - there's definitely an element of greed out there.

People want to say "inflation is driven by supply and demand and demand is high" - really? So food prices are 20% higher because food demand is 20% higher? What, did everyone suddenly start eating 20% more food? That makes no sense. But the fact that companies are reaping 20% more in profits has nothing at all to do with it? Come on, man - this is "pee on my leg and tell me it's raining" territory.

Unify America? Are you delusional? It's the Republicans who will fight unity every step of the way. Did you totally miss the fact that Marjorie Taylor Greene showed up wearing a red MAGA hat against house rules and a t-shirt and big pins emblazoned with things the right has made their war cry, and that she yet again bellowed and hollered trying to interrupt his speech in a total lack of decorum? The right wing has ZERO interest in unity, yet here you're disingenuously claiming it was "an opportunity." Also, get real - foreign countries ALREADY ARE involved in our elections and ALREADY ARE propagandizing all over American social media and message boards. Open your eyes. You seem naive.

So, you are now comparing Biden to MTG. OK.

I'll just leave this here.....

"I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but to unify; who doesn't see red states and blue states, only sees the United States,"
Biden, Nov. 2020

Your spin isn’t going to work. You’re probably feeling a little wounded this morning after Biden showed you for the fool you are.

Nah.
I wasn't impressed. He fired up his base, for sure.
But, did he convince the undecided? Probably not.
He threatened the Supreme Court. He took zero responsibility for the border crisis he caused. He was angry and divisive. Instead of an "I feel your pain" speech, he cast blame and didn't acknowledge that the American people are not thriving under his administration.
He ran the first time on bringing civility and decorum back to the WH. He said he was a uniter.
He has done none of that. And, last night he doubled down on hate. He was neither civil nor uniting. The US and the world are in a worse place than when he took office.
Voters who want unity were not impressed.

The good thing is that the Democrats will be less likely to want to replace him at the convention after last night.
That is good for Trump.

The only hate I saw last night was from MTG.

And I don't see anyone in the GOP attempting to unite anyone. Unless you count uniting women against anti-choice ballot initiatives.

MTG's outburst wasn't the only one. And the fact that MOST of the Republicans sat on their asses with stony-faces, furrowed brows, frowns and folded arms THE ENTIRE TIME including when Joe said things like "We're Americans, what we do when we're knocked down is we get right back up!" says it all. Not only do they hate Joe, they are so blinded in their hate that they can't even bring themselves to agree with things like that. At least there were moments like when Joe spoke about how the bipartisan border bill got torpedoed by the right where they showed Jim Lankford nodding, and likewise Mike Johnson sitting behind him had to nod and acknowledge a bunch of things but it was easy to tell that Johnson was himself annoyed with his fellow Republicans for their outbursts and their lack of support for even those moments.

Typical Dem speech. All these great ideas. But they won’t even try to implement them. Then in 4 years they will trot out the same list & pretend they want to implement them again. And morons fall for it every time, like charlie Brown & the football.

Black people, how many times are you going to fall for the “We have to improve urban public schools” promise before you wake up & recognize that they have no intention of fixing anything?

Probably one of the aforementioned foreign trolls without a firm grasp of English. I understood Joe's speech perfectly.

Gold Star dad arrested after heckling Biden during State of the Union

The heckler who shouted at President Biden during his State of the Union address Thursday night was identified as the father of a fallen Marine — and later arrested over the disruption.

“America’s safer today than when I took office,” Biden, 81, was in the middle of saying before he was interrupted from the chamber’s balcony.

“Abbey Gate!” Steve Nikoui yelled down at the president. “Second Battalion, First Marines!”

Capitol Police escorted Nikoui, 51, out of the chamber at around 10:15 p.m. and took him into custody.

He was charged with crowding, obstructing, or incommoding Congress, a misdemeanor that typically results in the offender’s release after paying a $50 fine.

Nikoui’s son, Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui, was killed by a suicide bomber outside Kabul’s international airport while trying to process evacuees from the Biden administration’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal in August 2021.

Twelve other US service members were also killed in the blast.

Two other Gold Star fathers told The Post in an interview before Biden’s speech that the president should expect harsh words over the catastrophe.

“There’s been other people that have confirmed that information that Biden knew — damn good and well — that Afghanistan was going to fall,” said Mark Schmitz, the father of Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz, calling the withdrawal “a totally epic screw-up.”

“I suspect tonight, there’s gonna be a lot of heckling,” he added.

Maybe he would have preferred that Biden called his son a loser and a sucker that should have known what he signed up for.

The 9 PM hour last night was the Biden campaign’s biggest fundraising hour ever, until the 10 PM hour last night.

He has spoken like that at all of his big speeches including the Inaugural and the one in Philadelphia.

I guess this is the first time people like you actually watched one of his speeches. It is part of how he compensates for his stutter.
