Drop-in Soccer for kids this weekend ?

Anonymous
Does anyone know if there is a place to head to for drop in soccer on a regular basis, or for this weekend?

Not leaving town, and want my kids to play some soccer. Preferably for ages 7-12.

I know Arlington has a drop-in soccer program, but nothing listed for this weekend.

Would also like to know about programs around the region that are regular.

I would guess not many with all the tournaments going on this weekend.

YEp my 9 year old and 11 year old will be in tournament games all weekend.

Arlington teams have tournaments and it is tryout season so there might not be any drop-in.

Same...our club offers pickup, but this is a major tournament weekend.

Any drop in soccer tbis weekend?

Probably not in Arlington - it's the last weekend of regular season games for rec and travel. Pick-up should start after school ends, I would imagine.

Arlington has 3 synthetics for drop in: Barcroft, Thomas Jefferson, and Rocky Run. I usually take my 8 and 10 year olds to Rocky Run as seems to be younger kids, and then we just kick it around or play some 3v3 against another family, etc. Very casual setting with playground too.

Arlington Summer drop in schedule is out.

Any other clubs hosting drop in soccer this summer or regularly?

Are there pick up games at Thomas Jefferson on weekends? What ages? Times Morning or afternoon? Are outsiders welcome to join in?

Anyone know about drop in at FPYC ?

http://fpycsports.com/team-10-page-1/

LEAGUE TRAINING/PICKUP SOCCER
FPYC ACADEMY (Golden Boot) takes place September 3, September 17 and October 1 at Green Acres Center.

Still want extra soccer? Come to Pick-Up (below)…

PICK-UP SOCCER: FPYC’s pick-up soccer sessions are open to all players, U5-U9 and are held SUNDAYS 3pm-5:30pm at Fairhill Elementary. The sessions consist of non-stop small-sided games (2v2 to 4v4), in a very relaxed, informal atmosphere. These sessions are considered ‘drop-in’ so stay as long as you like. One thing asked of parents ‚Äì NO COACHING! This is a very popular program and over the summer there were 30-50 children out on a given night. Please check the FPYC Training calendar regarding rain outs/cancellations.

That page looks dated to me. The u9 house league page says welcome to the 2013 u9 team. Lol
