Did he really make a speech about how black men should marry black women? Isn't he biracial / isn't his mother white? If he did say that, how awkward with his co-star Ellen Pompeo. I wonder if they are close.

| Nooo! I don't follow him closely, but he seemed like a nice, down-to-earth (for Hollywood) guy. I liked that he married kind of a regular chick who's not in the business, and that he used to be a teacher. That's too bad. They've got two young kids. |

| Did he really say that? I'm not black, but I am mixed and my parents were a mixed relationship (neither side is black). I am forever flabbergasted when my fellow mixed people make such stupid comments - you marry and date whomever you love, period. No matter the skin color, ethnicity, gender, sex, etc. I think that's the lesson most of us learned as a product of unconventional relationships (at the time, in our parents' heyday) |

No I don't remember him saying that, what I do remember him saying was that black men (which he seems to identify as) need to start doing better for black women....which definitely doesn't mean breaking up your family for a ran through like Minka Kelly! Oh well, he should have just kept his mouth shut and stuck to looking pretty on screen. Now it seems he's just a walking cliche. |

Jesse's wife should be happy he is ending it because a lot of places have strongly implied Minka has herpes (I saw a post on Jezebel years ago that was called "six degrees of separation from Derek jeter's herpes" or something like that). If he was cheating better for her to not be exposed to that.
I don't have a problem with interracial dating and am in an interracial relationship but it does kind of seem like he was trying to say/imply certain things to build a black female fan base and doing something else. |
