Helen Hunt on new TV show Shots Fired

I had to google to figure out who she was, I knew I should know her I just couldn't figure it out. Her lips and eyes have basically disappeared. Maybe it's just that I haven't seen her in a really long time, I don't know but she looks very different to me.

Her lips and eyes have "basically disappeared" because she hasn't stuffed them full of filler and had them lifted, respectively, like many (most?) actresses her age. Kudos to her for aging gracefully.

She's a good actress. I'll definitely watch her new show!

She's 53. A (likely) postmenopausal fair-skinned woman who has spent her life in Southern California, a very sunny climate. This is what that looks like. AKA perfectly normal.

I do think if I were her I would go with a bit more color on her lips.

+1. I'm starting to become truly concerned that people are forgetting what it looks like to age without plastic surgery.

OP here. Oh wow, she looks much older than 53. I didn't say she looked horrible or anything, just that I didn't recongize her - she looks so different.

I never watched Mad About You but this new show Shots Fired is good and she's great in it. She plays the Governor of a small Southern town. It stars Sanaa Lathan and the guy that played Jessie Owens in Race.

People forget what a real 53 looks like in Hollywood. This is what it looks like. Its a perfectly respectable option to age naturally. I actually think it would be good for character roles no?

I have heard previous criticism that she hasn't had the procedures done that other actresses get as regular maintenance. She looks 20 years older than she did on Mad About You because she is 20 year older. Maybe she will be the one to break the duck face look that is so common that people forget it isn't natural.
