Where are the ECNL professional men's clubs? |
lmao |
I know this is meant to be snarky but there are ECNL clubs that have pro team components (UPSL, USL2, USL, etc.). And many have pro women's club affiliates as well. |
not the same as club |

As per ChatGPT:
Of the roughly 151 MLS NEXT boys clubs in the Allstate Homegrown Division, about 33+ have a direct professional team or pathway within the club - primarily the 29 MLS academies plus a handfull of independent clubs with MLS NEXT Pro affiliations. There are 3-5 known examples of ECNL Boys Clubs that are official academies of professional clubs (NCFC, Louisville City, El Paso Locomotive - all in USL) It's not farfetched to see a future where more ECNL clubs align with a USL pathway. |

| I’m pretty sure ECNL is going to working with MLSN in some way. No longer competitors but collaborators. Just wait it’s coming. |
| Lots of changes will be announced after the big ECNL meeting in a few weeks. Most big leagues will start to merge and compete against each other. |
| So is ecnl going BY? Or MlSN going SY? |
| ECRL and MLSN 2 can obviously merge |
|
Maybe Surf gets MLSN BUT keep ECNL, so they got teams with both age ranges? This maybe the best move for development.
Or, maybe they just get MLSN, drop ECNL because they are good with keeping top boys BY? |
It looks like their announcement was grass fields 🤦♀️ |

Was in very small print. Grouping older players by school year places players in a more consistent emotional and physical developmental environment. School age grouping will help college recruitment. Players of the same graduating class will be participating together in high-level tournaments and showcase matches. |
