FCPS comprehensive boundary review

If all of this equity push causes FCPS to lose federal funding, does Reid still get her raise?

If someone can help me with drafting up a message I will send to OPM email addresses: DEIAtruth@opm.gov, DEIAtruth@opm.gov, and amanda.scales@opm.gov to see if it can get any traction. I think there's a lot of publicity potential in targeting department of education through a FCPS lens. Heck, just the DEI department in and of itself can be a sensational news story for DOGE to spin.

FCPS: the bureaucracy's largest public school system that indoctrinates their kids with the bureaucracy's liberal values.

I don't like the way FCPS has handled this and the leaked maps, if true, are very problematic. But DOGE is in the business of tearing down, not improving on an existing foundation. This should be considered the nuclear option - once they come in you don't get to ask them to leave.

Oh, the irony.

DP. After being on the losing end of a boundary readjustment last time, I say go nuclear.

Let's go this route. In all seriousness, the SB thinks they are untouchable. We know DOGE's and P2025's thoughts on the bureaucracy and how they feel about the local area. FCPS is a ripe target they can make an example of. FCPS has been playing with fire as Reid thumbs her nose at ICE and DEI. I bet the FCPS equity office's organizational chart is still posted online. Worst thing that happens is nothing, but who knows with the current messaging and FCPS proximity it could be a great opportunity to highlight it on the national stage.

Agree, have to do something and it’s worth a shot. Great idea! Someone draft some well worded language!

If FCPS loses funding it’s because Musk/DOUCHE stripped it from all public schools.

Um, that's not accurate as to what would happen if the Department of Education were to be disbanded.

That is an easy response for FCPS to make at this point.

That answer does NOT mean that there are NO internal FCPS discussions of proposed shifts that were set out in the “leaked maps” thread.

If there are internal discussions of proposed shifts, NOW is the time to get organized. NOW is the time to reach out to your representatives and make your voice heard.

Act NOW, before the internal discussions become maps.

Exactly. She knows what she wants and already has maps. We know she drafted her plan but then decided to do the consultant thing and public committee to look like she’s being transparent.

There isn't one... People are just making up stuff to stress everyone else out.

Talking about not wanting to eff with kids’ education and then bringing in DOGE who would love nothing better than to get rid of public schools. Don’t fuel the fire for something they actually don’t care about other than destroying institutions and leaving. There are so many despicable things about this. Some of y’all are doing the exact same things you’re accusing the SB of. Keep DOGE out of fcps.
