War with Iran

1) announces unhinged ultimatum
2) Iran issues threats back
3) Trump realizes he’s going to either
—a) look weak and not follow through
—b) tank the markets more or oil at $200
4) proceeds to make up a lie about “talks” with Iran
5) futures up 700 pts

wtf?!!!????!???

The market has to go down in order for the TACO rally to occur.

Yet another TACO. The US loses all credibility while the Trump family makes billions from the blatant market manipulation. The Strait of Hormuz remains closed and the world continues to hurl toward the mother of all energy crises. Rinse and repeat.

He genuinely has idea how to fix the situation he created. Huge disaster for the US.

The markets don’t believe him. They see this as a sign he’s going to TACO.

Last time I checked, Iran has not targeted a school of 170 girls in Israel nor has it destroyed hospitals. It values life— even non-Iranian life.

Israel on the other hand has repeatedly bombed civilian infrastructure in Iran and Lebanon this past month and bombs 500 civilians to take out one opposition leader.

Your lies just don’t work anymore.

They’ve now set up a toll system where they’re collecting $2M per ship they allow through. It’s only been handful of ships so far while the war goes on. Expanding that to the normal 100 or so ships a day that go through the strait seems like a big incentive.

Market manipulation is done on purpose. Wake up.

That’s not enough to recover for the damage the US and Israel have created in the past month or the economic strangulation of the past couple of decades.

Iran said they would either get direct reparations or take it out of US allied assets. I expect them to charge a much higher rate for US shipping vessels. It could easily add up to billions every year.

Yep, but the payment is in Chinese Yuan, not American dollars.

It really annoys me when people equate being mad the US started a war we didn't need to with being an Iranian sympathizer. I simply didn't think it was the right decision to preemptively strike the country with no imminent threat. Of course the Iranian regime is not a positive force but us meddling with them only makes us more entangled.

I was referring to the idiot who claimed Israel attacked Diego Garcia as a false flag, while we all know it was Iran and has been reported in multiple sources as being Iran. There was no false flag. THAT is an Iranian regime sympathizer.

Of course, of course! It’s not as if we’ve learned days, weeks, months, and sometimes years later that what we thought to be the case initially was dead wrong. No, no - of course! Etch it in stone that Iran was responsible.

You report back when all international sources agree it was Israel. For now, that's just wishful thinking in your crazy imagination.

You’ll do anything to defend your community even if it’s abroad but not America.

Not my community, dunce. But if I had to choose between aligning myself with Israel or with Iran, I would definitely choose Israel. And no need for you to feign outrage, because it's clear you've chosen to champion the Iranian regime.

DP Sure, of course you’re not an Israeli propagandist, Jan. Totally not.

Look, you can think whatever you want but the propaganda being spread on this thread is transparently that of Iran. So I guess that makes you and your little cabal Iranian propagandists and terrorist sympathizers. I mean, the thread is completely monopolized by you psychopaths. Or maybe there are just a few who post over and over. Regardless, this is Iranian regime central and it’s disgusting.
DP

Why are Israelis so brainwashed? Iran is not even the top 5 problem they have. If Iran gets carpet bombed or nuked tomorrow, Hezbollah and houthis in Lebanon and Yemen and Hamas will still fight them. This is all to do with the Palestinians so why not be pragmatic and make a two state solution/camp David accords deal like what was once done with Egypt? Egypt was once Israel’s biggest enemy even more than Palestinians and Iran and look at what the peace deal did. It’s obvious that the Muslim world honors deals more than Americans or Israelis do so why not make a deal with the Palestinians? Netanyahu believed camp David accords was the biggest mistake but without camp David, Egypt wouldve been part of 10/7 instead of warning Israel about 10/7.

Isn’t negotiation better than ballistic missiles and sirens screeching at every hour? Is there any pragmatic instinct at all with the Israeli right?

Yesterday it was Saddam. Today it’s Iran. Tomorrow it will be someone else.

The US will eventually grow weary of war and stepping in to fight wars for Israel’s agenda just when Israel will need it the most. It may even be the litmus test for the 2028 candidates. Support for Israel may no longer be a positive trait for candidates especially given Trump may be the last boomer president. I suspect we are going to go so far down the abyss of war and recession that a socialist Democrat super pro Palestinian could be a future president very soon.

DP
President Clinton worked hard for it and extremist from both camp killed it.

DP: Netanyahu had bugged Clinton’s phones and had told Clinton he knew about Monica Lewinsky. It was never a fair deal for the Palestinians and we have seen time and time again that the Israelis go back on their word. To this day Clinton has not spoken up about terrible atrocities against the Palestinian people. Jimmy Carter for the record did and the Israelis tried to destroy the Carter Center.

Market manipulation like this is only seen in developing countries. The US is imploding faster than we ever could have imagined. No sovereign wealth fund or pension plan can handle this type of uncertainty and asymmetric information.

If Iran is smart they'll just keep quiet and let Trump pull back without losing face. It's all about his ego.

Feeding Trump's ego is so tiresome. You're right -- they should let him wander off claiming "victory!" But I can understand why it's hard for them to do that, after the huge damage he has done.

Can you say with a straight face that we live in a democracy when one man is wreaking havoc on our country and the world?

Who knows if any of this is true.

PS. Can you count the spelling errors?
