They fear that Judge might change his statements under oath... |
So what. Tell the truth and get a good nominee on the court. |
Because he’s a terrible witness who will make them look bad. Her story alleges that he was watching BK and CBF and then jumped on them - unclear why, but sounds like as a participant. He has a history of alcoholism and wrote a book which mentions a character that seems like BKand Judge has a history, in writing, of a lot of terrible comments about women. Of I were BK, I wouldn’t want this guy to testify either. |
Democrats want to call all confirmatory witnesses at the hearings so they don’t seem too worried. For some reason, republicans are refusing to cross examine these witnesses. Wonder why? |
He doesn’t want the one person who could give him an alibi to do so. Nothing suspicious here. |
Why has Ford not responded if she plans to attend? Doesn’t she want to be heard? |
Too bad. What was the company this guy kept? |
google Bart O'Kavanaugh an d understand why Judge would be a terrible witness. |
Therapist here. It’s vastly more plausible that the therapist wrote 4 instead of 2 or was condensing the story and got that wrong than that Christine Ford has been telling people a lie for years about being assaulted by a man who went on to become a federal judge. |
The terms of the hearing are still being negotiated. Ford wants to bring all corroborating witnesses. Republicans are refusing, afraid of the truth apparently. |
Give it a rest. Just because an 85 year old Senator thinks that her attorney hasn't responded to a couple recent phone calls made hours earlier doesn't mean she isn't responding. In the meantime, Susan Collins has already proposed a format that's completely different than what Grassley outlined, so it's not surprising that her attorney is being deliberate. Note that she's a private citizen on a different coast who's being asked to provide a public victims account on national TV... I don't think it's unusual to take some before agreeing to logistical details. Most depositions I'm involved with take months to schedule, and her appearance is requested in 5 business days. You obviously have an agenda. Drop it and let the process work. |
Unlike the other 85 year old Senator who knew these allegations for around six weeks and interviewed the "assailant" and never even asked him about it. |
+1. As a therapist, you do your notes between sessions or at the end of the day--it's possible Dr. Blasey's therapist may have inadvertently got a detail wrong. |
What corroborating witnesses? There was nobody present at the time this “assault” presumably occurred that she could call, other than the other person she said was in the room. Anything others would be saying is hearsay. |
Who cares whether Feinstein asked him it. Irrelevant. Go back to your yardwork and let the real lawyers weigh in. |
