Evidence please, you are just spouting nonsense. |
The only reason why this is true is because we live in a patriarchy. Even men must comply, so the pressure to be successful affects you so also. Men live under the patriarchy too. If men were only attracted to fertility then no woman over any age would be attractive. You could take a random infertile woman at 29 and you wouldn’t be attracted. It doesn’t make sense. Women also like men when they look good you know. Things have changed because women can now make their own money. Before we couldn’t. And we “needed to like power and money“. There are women who are smart there and when young are looking to get ahead and they forgo love for money. They don’t need to, but it’s easy you know. |
"Likely the healthiest?" Don't be ridiculous. |
LOL you seriously think if you don’t have some extra weight to lose in your 70s that cancer won’t take you down quick? Or even a serious virus? You need “sources” because you have no common sense. |
So no evidence. Thanks for confirming. By the way, this discussion is about 50 year old women. Love how you keep moving the goalposts. Now it’s about 70 year old women fighting major health issues. |
DP. That's your excuse for not losing weight? In case you get cancer? Wow. |

Even a 3-day hospital was nearly catastrophic for my very thin MIL. she never really recovered her strength after losing 5 lbs she could not spare. |
DP. No, it’s the reason no sensible 50+ woman diets to be “thin.” Prevent obesity sure. But to get to BMI 20? Nope. |
Yes but power for men is also sexual virility and a young strong body. Why do you think the Trump campaign is constantly putting his head on a young Thor-like body to sell his commemorative coins and all other crap? They want to exude power, which in the patriarchy, for a man is youth and virility in addition to money. The goalpost for men and women really are not that different. |

These are geriatric people not middle aged. |
The median age in this study was 77, with a 7-year range. That poster is talking about a different time in life than the people in this thread. |
here’s a more specific age breakout. for women in their 50s it’s up to 27 bmi: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4681110/ |
More on the healthiest BMI being 26-27 https://www.medpagetoday.com/primarycare/obesity/57821 |
