I'm not a TS fan, but her showing up at Chiefs games made me interested in watching football. The nfl should pay her because she increases ratings. |
I think the bakeries made more money off the NFL association by selling all those “Go Taylor’s Boyfriend” cakes last year. But as long as the NFL isn’t selling a Taylor Swift jersey men and NFL fans aren’t buying more it’s just the usual fans who follow her wherever she goes. |
It is mutually beneficial- for the NFL and Taylor. The money flows both directions but anyway you look at it. It is flowing from us to much richer people. |
Well said. She is level-headed and grounded, no doubt thanks to her stable upbringing and loving parents. Some people just can't stand to admit that for whatever reason. |
DP. Still peddling the fiction that she doesn't write and create her own music? She does. Of course her producers help arrange it, etc. But she writes the lyrics and melody. And if she has collaborators, they're ALWAYS credited. |

Neither of these men is Travis Kelce, you moron. |
| I'm getting a good giggle out of reading the unhinged hate posts here and have to wonder if the uber-critics of Taylor Swift apply their same "standards" to someone like Beyonce. |
Man, no. But the young man on the L is a teen Travis Kelce indeed. |

I used to love Taylor Swift and wish I could be happy for her engagement, but…..
What stands out to me in this moment is Taylor’s silence. In the Miss Americana documentary, she was politically outspoken and willing to risk her brand by speaking about women’s rights and elections. But now, through ICE raids, the rollback of reproductive rights, an increase in gun violence, devastating conflicts in the Middle East and so on, she has been strategically quiet. Instead, she spent airtime talking about bread recipes rather than the issues she once championed. Her choices seem calculated, and everything feels like a business transaction. Even her engagement, rolled out in Ralph Lauren, timed perfectly before her album release and the NFL season, reads like a campaign rather than a personal milestone. The NFL itself, heavily conservative, benefits from her association just as her brand benefits from the sport’s audience. Hovering over it all is the political undertone: Trump’s positive remarks on her engagement, the careful neutrality being crafted between her, the White House, and her fanbase. It reads like the story of a woman who traded her once-powerful voice for commercial safety. |
different poster but it’s truly classic when you call someone a moron when you’re actually wrong. Yes, that’s them in college pics |
I agree, she did make the trade. But to take it one step further, her Dad was very against her speaking out publicly in Ms. Americana. Taylor looked like a 15 year old asking for permission from her father rather than a grown woman during that conversation. She made an attempt to be a thoughtful, independent woman, but Dad and the chance to earn more and more money overruled her in the end. Let us hope the country doesn’t follow her path. |
Taylor Swift becomes whoever her current boyfriend wants her to be. Unfortunately, she won’t be going in the right direction with the football dude and his MAGA friends now. The only reason she “slipped” for a couple of years and spoke up in that documentary was because she was chasing Matty Healy back then and trying to impress him. He and his band are known for taking stands. |
We have some real psychos on this board 🙄 |
| Taylor cares about her own baby. Other people kids are THEIR problem. Godmother is not a serious title these days. GET OVER IT! |
