Hurry up and charge the other POS involved. |
She must have had clues there was something very wrong with him. And clues there was something going on with ap. I noticed she does not feature in posts. Christine was middle aged, an equal, into fitness and positivity. The au pair was like dating a teen. Was this all midlife crisis? If they had stayed on LI, near family, would he never have gone off the rails? How could someone be capable of doing that then just go on, riding bike around neighborhood and tooling around in his new car and taking his girlfriend and her "assets" out to eat like Christine and Joe never existed? |
They are going to let her sit in a cage for a few months to see if her chatty tales switch over to the truth in exchange for lesser sentence, time served and deported, something. LE wants as much as possible to nail him. They only get one shot at it. |
In that video, its clear they are coming for him. LE specifically mentions the little girl and how tragic this all is. |
This. We had a Brazilian Au Pair before we went to rematch who was on a date her first weekend in country. Some get on the dating apps before they even arrive here. |
Thanks for this! LE wants him sweating. He DOES need to be accountable. There are people in the general public who still think Joe was a home invading killer. They need to hear how LE speaks and has always spoken about him and Christine, as victims. They were NOT buying Brendan's tall tales from the start and when he has refused to cooperate they really want a strong case. If they thought Juliana was the stabber, she would be charged. If Joe was the stabber, they would say so and likely Juliana would not have been charged at all. They would not be spending months and $$$ investigating. This man is very experienced and even the day of, his language and word choices conveyed what they thought happened. I so hope there will be justice. It's not much, but those monsters should not be living their best lives. That poor child. She deserves to be safe too. Anyone who could do such an unthinkable thing is not safe for anyone to be around. |
Other than what was actually said, the police chief seemed quite confident and not overly guarded in what he said. In my eyes, it did not seem like he was hedging, asking the public for more info, or preparing the public for a possibly open and unsolved case. I think they have a very clear idea of what happened and what their next moves are. |
Wow this guy BB is one awful looking guy. |
People cling to the idea of an intruder because it’s so unfathomable that a husband could do this to his wife, the mother of his child - possibly with his child in the home. On the outside, the Banfields didn’t look much different than any other family. |
Denial is a powerful thing. Husbands kill their wives all the time and get away with it. Disgusting. |
To summarize, it's not a matter of if, but when BB gets arrested. |
I had the same thought! Also I don’t know what it is about him, but he just looks like the type of guy who would blow up his entire life for the chance to be with a hot 23 year old. Like… I dunno, I now see his pic and I’m like, “yep, stabbed his wife, ruined his life, ruined his kids life… all to be with his Au pair. This checks out” |
^ like he was looking to relive those younger years, not count his lucky stars for the beautiful, confident, equal partner wife he had, their healthy child, careers, nice home. Like that sort of midlife crisis with much younger partner, almost half his age, came at what, 21? But to go to these lengths, the mind boggles. Those were human beings. And Christine held on all the way to the hospital. |
We have hosted for a number of years, with no issues. We are friendly with all our former au pairs. Do not generalize. |
It’s hard to imagine, but the official designation of “alive” can be pretty broad. The reason why doctors take a long time to declare someone dead is because any electrical activity of the heart, any agonal breath, any murmur of a pulse is classified as “alive”. When paramedics arrive, they instantly go into advanced life saving mode - they intubate, push meds, shock - everything. They bag the patient on the way to the hospital and shock as needed to give them every chance. I have no idea what happened at the scene, but it’s not an uncommon scenario for emts to successfully resuscitate someone and get them to the hospital when they have really no chance of surviving much longer. If you take a look at other accident reports, many of them say they the patient was evac’d but died in hospital. |
