What! Sarah Jessica Parker dated Robert Downey Jr and also JFK Jr, who is one of the most gorgeous men to ever live.
The proof that men DO find her attractive simply cannot overcome OP's assertion that they must not.
Are we going to acknowledge that she's Jewish, looks Jewish, and never deracinated herself, and perhaps that is part of what underlies OP's entirely query?
In this case I do not think anti-semitism is behind the debate. But I do think people from outside the NY and New Jersey area often don't realize that SJP's looks are reflective of a lot of Jews from the region and that's one reason she works well in this role (she just comes off as very "New York Jewish" in her whole presentation even though her character isn't Jewish that I can tell). There are people who don't interact with tons of Jewish people and whose perception of what New York is like is based on shows like Friends where everyone is a bit more homogenous and middle America looking (even the Jewish characters!). So someone like OP is like "huh SJP does not look like all the New Yorkers I see on these kind of sterile television shows and movies that are actually filmed in LA with actors from Kansas and Witchita -- she isn't very attractive is she." Not realizing that SJP has a very classic New York look that is yes very Jewish and also considered attractive and common in the area.
Ilana Glazer and Jenny Slate are other examples of actresses with classic Jewish looks that people outside places like the Northeast or LA may not "get" because they just have limited exposure to Jewish faces.
lol, what in the world are you talking about? SATC, Friends, Seinfeld, and Girls all featured mostly Jewish lead actors and actresses.
Seinfeld, yes, the others, no. None of the other 3 SATC actresses are Jewish. Friends, 2 of the 6 leads were Jewish. Girls, 2 of the 4 female leads were. Adam Driver, no, Andrew Rannells, no, Christopher Abbott, no. Only the guy who played Ray was.
