| I was on 2 airplanes today (I am female). The males who were seated next to me both took over the arm rest. FYI: I was seated first. What say you? |
| Which seat? |
| I do. |
| Depends on the seat. Middle seat gets both. |
| I've noticed that men do this -- I think it is similar to manspreading. I'm a plus sized woman, too, so it's not like I don't need the space, but it never fails, they claim any and all arm rests that their elbows can reach. |
Hell no. |
| I only have an opinion about the middle seat. Middle seat person should get both armrests. I was on a flight recently, in the middle seat, where both neighbors took both armrests. That was thoughtless. |
| Nobody gets it. Neutral zone. |
| Don't you get the left arm rest? |
| Middle gets both |
I agree middle person should get both, edge people can both lean over on one and get some breathing room, middle person needs to stabilize and can't really lean in either direction |
|
Pikers.
Stop flying coach, and you won't have to worry about this. |
Middle gets both. Last flight I was on it was a two seater. Guy beside me not only claimed the armrest but his elbow came way over into my space. That was a declaration of war. I pulled my tray down, which bopped his elbow. He moved it (fatal mistake) and I went in for the kill and reclaimed the armrest. Never gave up even half an inch of it for the remainder of the flight. |
| Why would anyone choose the middle seat, unless you were a family of three? |
Are you really not able to imagine a scenario where that is all that is left?
Maybe you haven't flown lately with the draconian way seat selection is handled -- extra fees, not able to get it until the last minute if you don't have status, etc. |
