She said middle seat in her post. Even if she didn't say it, if she were fighting two different people for an armrest, wouldn't that imply she was in a middle seat?

Hey genius, maybe go back and read the OP. She DID NOT specify middle seat. Her situation could have been any of the 3 seats, and a few posts down, she specifies she was in the aisle. Before criticizing anyone, make sure you know what you're talking about.

OP here. Only one (first, original) post. If I was in the middle, which armrest would I get? Love the other PP's idea of telling them not to touch me.

OP here. Agree!

??

This is OP - I didn't write this one. Very peculiar. Maybe this is the OP of another post, as there are other airplane posts today, given multiple news stories.

Actually, I prefer the middle to the window. I feel VERY claustrophobic in the window seat. At least the middle, there's only one person who needs to move for me to get out.

OP (the real one) again. Just as an example. 3 seats across. I take the middle seat (as assigned). Guy next to me takes the aisle seat, proceeds to go out of his way to hog the armrest. But my arms are much longer, and I am much taller than the guy, who is going out of his way "not to notice" me. So I put my long arms in front of his long arms, on the same arm rest. My elbow is now in front of his elbow (his arms are too short to do what I am doing - but he doesn't seem to care). Win/win?

I pulled my tray down, which bopped his elbow. He moved it (fatal mistake) and I went in for the kill and reclaimed the armrest. Never gave up even half an inch of it for the remainder of the flight.

Makes me think of this:

Some people are trying to force the airlines to remedy the situation:

OP here. meant "put my long arms in front of his kind of normal arms" i.e.: his arms were not long, he was not tall, he had no reason to hog anything. Poor girl in the window seat just wanted out.
