| Tyler is such a self-centered a-hole. It really gets on my nerves that yesterday right after the shooting he was posting the reunification details and where parents should go meet their children. I'm pretty sure nobody was hopping on the Toilet Merritt Project self promotion page to find out what they should do about their children's school that has just been shot up. |

I thought the exact same thing! Like anyone would say, “hmmm, I need to check on my children. Where could I get information? I know!!! Let me check TTMP page.” It’s absurd. 1. It’s like that was his way of casually announcing a major news story. “Hey, everyone, if you want to find your kids after the school shooting, go here. (…) What’s that? Oh, you didn’t know? There was a shooting.”
2. He’s acting like he was doing everyone such a great public service by sharing information that was not really available anywhere else: “Share this info with anyone who needs it.” Barf. |

Listen, let’s not make this shooting or Tyler’s pandering about demonizing trans people! This shooting is not a trans issue. It’s a mental health issue and a gun accessibility issue.
The intricacies of Trans rights are important to discuss in our society but don’t use the tragedy of a school shooting to be transphobic. The shooter being evil scum doesn’t excuse transphobia. |

As the mom of a 15 yr old high functioning autistic daughter, I have been utterly in knots over what happened in Nashville (my hometown). Audrey probably had a lifetime of loneliness and inability to form meaningful friendships and relationships. Not excusing this outrageous act of violence and destruction, but I feel like I have some insight (from my daughter's struggles). Just recently had her triennial IEP and it's been tough and she is working hard. But it's been a tough road for her. |
