He looks fine. I'm not even partial to white men, and William looks perfectly fine. He's tall, fit, well dressed, and has some low key BDE. Harry is the one who looks ick.

This is the worst take in the history of Earth. Literally.

You should be laughed out of town.

She would if this was the (ahem) tip of the iceberg-she or someone close caught him in the act. Read that Rose’s DC may be William’s. (Maury Povich voice) Prince William: you ARE the father!

Sub stack and other sources reporting ileostomy with perforated bowel. I obviously don’t know if that is true, but that still tracks with any of the speculated ED/DV/Crohn’s, since there are many reasons for perforated bowel, including trauma to the abdomen, forceful vomiting, Crohns (to name a few — other GI issues could also cause it). Either way all of that sounds absolutely horrible no matter what the reason is.

A few dozen pages back I posted this link, now reposting https://www.hyperemesis.org/about-hyperemesis-gravidarum/

HG is not just bad morning sickness. It is a debilitating illness that wreaks havoc on the body and causes long term health issues and can damage the GI tract and other organs as well.

Kate probably has had surgery to repair HG related damage to her GI tract. If I recollect correctly, she suffered HG in all three pregnancies - that’s a lot for even a very healthy body to endure.

I have much more respect for Kate’s toughness having educated myself about HG.

Beyond that I would only say that this thread and all the other media it links to is all the reason I would ever need to not ever want to be a privileged wealthy princess to a man about to inherit the crown.

Give me my ordinary life 100x over.

I had hyperemesis twice. It was horrendous but no issues now. It stops once the baby is born and is not linked to long term gi issues on its own

Yeah, unlikely related to HG. For one, vast majority of women suffering with it don’t have long term issues. Plus Kate was admitted and under IV nutrition/hydration and closely watched and cared for throughout. She had much more medical support than the avg woman suffering with it, which makes her odds of having long term complications even less

This. HG is really awful but if you get treatment, it s a lot easier to deal with and no long-term impacts. For me the hardest part was being very sick and being told "oh that's normal in the first trimester," and not being taken seriously until I ended up in the ER severely dehydrated. That may have been how it worked for Kate the first time too, which sucks. But once they know you have it, it gets a lot easier because you get treatment and also you know the drill.

I'm guessing Kate was able to gain access to IV fluids at home when necessary, too, which would be a huge help. Especially when you have older kids-- having to go to the hospital or urgent care to get fluids when you are vomiting continuously really sucks, plus sometimes the IV takes forever because the dehydration shrinks your veins.

But I think long-term complications are rare. I would assume this is unrelated.

It's rare but could be related. Happens.

William and Kate have long been criticized for not working very hard, why would the public continue to support them after all this? It’s unforgivable and now anything they say is subject to questioning and disbelief. Initially I had no doubt she had abdominal surgery but after the photo fiasco, who knows?

the photo was released for mothering sunday, which is their tradition

Yes because it's England they have to pretend to be perfect but a ton of men pretend to be perfect while having affairs and even illegitimate children. Anonymous wrote:I tend to believe this is all medical. My kid just went through a series of medical issues starting in December, and it's like the entire world stands still. Also, my kid was very self conscious because she'd been pumped full of IVs and steroids, causing her to have a 15 lbs weight fluctuation (which went away after the final surgery). So my kid was basically bloated and exhausted and lethargic, but also really aware of that so she didn't want to leave her bedroom much in between hospital stays. And people understand surgery, but they don't really understand all the issues that surround it and how that can impact your life. So I tend to believe she's encountered a health issue that has been at least somewhat complicated, and that she's likely self conscious about it and also not in a mental condition to be super strategic about the communication to the public.

Totally agree this would be true for a regular person. But she has a whole comms and PR team. They should be in a mental state to be strategic about all of this. That's the part that doesn't make any sense.

Lol. Yeah…he absolutely does not have BDE. He has “I’m going to be king someday” energy. They are not the same.

Not the way the PP (you?) are suggesting. The longterm complications from HG are issues associated with malnutrition and stress, things that are easily prevented with proper treatment including IV fluids during pregnancy.

The PP suggests that Kate may have had a surgery to "repair her GI tract" due to damage caused by HG. There is no longterm consequence of HG that involves damage to the GI tract. The vomiting associated with HG is very unpleasant and disruptive, and poses health risks in terms of dehydration and nutrient deficiency, but it is not known to cause damage to the GI tract. That's just a made up side effect of someone speculating randomly with a tiny amount of knowledge ("oh, HG involves throwing up a lot, maybe it causes longterm damage to your GI tract"). The kinds of issues you are talking about are not known or documented in other women with HG.

I would love to keep the medical speculation by people whose medical degrees were earned in 20 minutes on WebMD to a minimum here. We don't know what medical condition she has and there is absolutely no point in speculating because we don't have enough info to do that even WITH a lot of actual medical knowledge.

It's their tradition to release a heavily and obviously altered photo for Mothering Sunday, and to claim it was taken a few days ago when it clearly wasn't?

I didn't know, I'm sorry.

Everything is fine, PP. This is all perfectly normal. The KP is always getting kill notices and being declared an untrusted source. Par for the course, happens every year about this time.
