How does Beauvoir notify?

Through Ravenna, snail mail, phone call...???

How do people not ask this during the admissions process??

Definitely via Ravenna - no idea if they are going to do anything else. When we toured, they asked us how we were liking Ravenna and said it was their first year using it.

We haven't received any communications from them (we have from other schools telling us that we will here on Friday at 5 PM via Ravenna)

No need to be snarky just asking a question! Get off the forum if you don't have anything productive to say.

From the website:

"3/3/17. Decision letters, contracts, and financial aid grants communicated electronically to prospective parents."

I assume that means email or Ravenna.

What grade did you apply to, OP? Anyone know how many applicants they received per slot for K? Do they offer sibling/other preference for K or just PK?

No clue on applicant numbers, but my understanding is that they only give sibling preference at Pre-K.

Sibling preference is only for pre-k. They add a full class of new kids at K so there are theoretically 22 new spots in K. I have no idea about the number of applicants or the number of siblings applying for pre-k. Admissions office doesn't really share that info.

Ravenna, but I think it's 5pm, not 3pm.

Anybody apply to PK?

We only admit 21 in K and no more than 63 for PreK. Classroom sizes are 20-21. Only a few upper grades have more than 21 per class because of prior over enrollment. Going forward they will not be over enrolling. The number of applications are anywhere between 150-200 for PreK and for K. The number of sibling applicants is pretty high this year. Based on the number of people I personally know applying for a sibling child, I would estimate that at least half of the 63 spots will go to siblings and/or children of staff members.

Accepted families will be notified via emailed and all notifications will also be made via Ravenna.

You're just the messenger, so no offense intended, but this is the most discouraging thing I've read all day.

SOmeone posted on the "letters" thread this morning that they got a letter from Beauvoir yesterday - then the thread was deleted - was that a troll?

At head of school coffee yesterday, HOS said all BVR decisions will go out at 3 pm so someone is available to answer phone calls. NCS/STA will post at 5 pm so older students (with phones, not BVR kids) are not in school when decisions are announced.

Good luck all!
